Savannah Chrisley shared “huge news” on Instagram on Monday regarding dad Todd Chrisley and mom Julie Chrisley‘s ongoing appeal in their fraud case.
As the Chrisley Knows Best alum, 26, prepared to celebrate the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday without her parents, she found herself “sobbing” as she learned Todd, 54, and Julie, 50, had scored a major court win and brother Chase Chrisley, 27, went Instagram-official with new girlfriend Jodi Laine Fournerat.
“I am freaking out! As you know, we are spending Thanksgiving a little different this year, because I wasn’t going to fake it. I wasn’t going to do the traditional Thanksgiving we’re always used to,” Savannah explained to her fans and followers in an emotional video. “But I got a call this morning and the appeals court has granted our oral arguments. So, I literally was sobbing. It is one step closer to getting Mom and Dad home.”
“The kids are freaking out. I’m freaking out. I got to explain it to Chloe. It’s just amazing,” she proclaimed as CeCe Winans‘ “Goodness of God” played in the background.
As Chrisley fans may know, Savannah, who has been focusing on prison reform activism since her mom and dad began serving their combined 19-year prison sentences earlier this year, has been taking care of her younger siblings Grayson, 17, and Chloe, 10.
Continuing through tears, Savannah revealed, “The week of March 25, we will have oral arguments.”
“Only about six percent of cases that are submitted for oral arguments get accepted. So this is huge news,” she explained. “We get to go and argue why mom and dad should be home. So, God is good. Thanksgiving win!” she added.
Meanwhile, in the caption of her appeal update, Savannah wrote, “I WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING FOR YOU MAMA AND DADDY!”
She then further explained, “Oral argument in an appellate court represents a critical moment in every case. The briefs are written, and the panel may already be leaning towards a decision. Oral argument, therefore, is an opportunity to cement the panel’s decision in your favor, or perhaps your final chance to save your case!!
Following the sharing of the post, Chase wrote, “God is good!!!” He also included two praying hands emojis.
And on her Instagram Story, Savannah’s estranged sister, Lindsie Chrisley, 34, reshared her video.
Also on Instagram this week, Chase, who split from former fiancee Emmy Medders, 26, in July, reshared an image his surgical technician girlfriend shared on her page.
“When your man’s in town to see you, but you’re on call & surgery demands your presence [Chase Chrisley],” Jodi had written, along with an image of herself in scrubs.
Weeks prior, Jodi went public with Chase on her Instagram page.
“Happy is an understatement,” she captioned a November 7 post.
Although it is unclear when Chase and Jodi began dating, a rep for Chase said they are taking things “slow” at the moment.
“It’s been a couple of months so it’s still early,” the rep told PEOPLE. “But they’re taking it slow and enjoying their time together.”
