Shannon Beador was spotted back behind the wheel on Tuesday, just under a year after she was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run.
Just one day before her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, 61, and his new girlfriend, Alexis Bellino, 47, announced their engagement, the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star was photographed blowing into a breathalyzer to start her car.
In photos obtained by Page Six on August 28, Shannon was seen walking to her vehicle in an all-black ensemble of leggings, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes with her hair pulled back into a ponytail. Once inside the vehicle, she activated the device.
As the outlet explained, the handheld breathalyzer serves as an ignition interlock device, preventing drivers who have been drinking from being able to start the car.

As RHOC fans will recall, Shannon drove into a Newport Beach property with her dog, Archie, in the car after spending time in a bar, sustaining injuries as she attempted to flee the scene. Months later, she was sentenced to three years of probation, 40 hours of community service, and a nine-month alcohol program.
“I am grateful that no one else was injured besides me in this incident. I have learned so much from my terrible mistake that night and realize that driving any distance while impaired is too far,” she told Page Six, via her attorney.
Earlier this season on RHOC, Shannon was seen speaking to her daughters about her “humiliating” arrest.
“I’m so sorry and humiliated that I disappointed you. Like, what kind of example am I at 59 years old?” she told Sophie, 23, and twins Stella and Adeline, 20, on the July episode. “I’ve never broken a bone, I’ve never had a concussion, I’ve never been in an accident, I’ve never been arrested, I’ve never had a DUI, and I did all that in 10 seconds.”
After stepping out on Tuesday, Shannon took to her Instagram page, where she shared a glammed-up photo of herself preparing to film a confessional for RHOC and offered a shoutout to her team.
“Nothing but love for those close to me,” she captioned the pic, tagging her glammers and adding hashtags for “grateful” and “family.”
In addition to Vicki Gunvalson, 62, saying she looked “so classy [and] beautiful,” and Kelly Dodd, 48, noting that it was the “best [she’d] ever looked,” Shannon received support from her fans and followers, who signaled to Alexis and John’s engagement.
“Girl, you dodged a bullet. The congrats should be for you,” one person stated.
Another wrote, “Keep shining. Do you. Head up. [Because] at the end of the day you’re not the one with John J. And that is a blessing honeyyyyyy.”
“WE STAN FOR SHAN,” added a third.
Alexis and John confirmed their engagement on Wednesday following just nine months of dating.
