Meghan King and her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, have reached an agreement in regard to the custody of their three children.
Weeks after it was revealed that the 41-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum had temporarily lost custody of the three children she shares with her former spouse after a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation was launched against her, she and Jim, 55, have made a decision for their kids.
“The custody hearing has been called off, and both sides have reached an agreement that is in the best interests of the children,” Jim’s rep, Steve Honig, told Us Weekly on December 8.
As RHOC fans will recall, Meghan, who was married to Jim from 2014 until 2019, finalized their divorce in 2021 and agreed to share custody at the time. However, in the years that followed, she and Jim experienced a world of tension.
Most recently, before Meghan was accused of giving one of their twins, seven-year-old Hayes, unprescribed Ritalin and encouraging a school nurse to do the same, she and Jim’s wife, Kortnie O’Connor, were involved in an incident at Jim and Kortnie’s home in Missouri. As reports alleged, Meghan arrived at the property to drop off a dress to her nine-year-old daughter, Aspen, but she refused to leave when Kortnie wouldn’t allow her to speak to the child and was later found inside.
Although no charges were brought against Meghan, Kortnie filed for a restraining order against her, and the women ultimately agreed to steer clear of one another, with Meghan banned from speaking of Kortnie on social media.
While Jim’s rep did not offer any specific information in regard to Meghan and Jim’s agreement, multiple sources previously told Us Weekly that a decision was made in recent weeks that gave Meghan supervised visitation and offered Jim sole physical custody.
Meghan and Jim also share seven-year-old Hart.
