Mauricio Umansky reacted to Lisa Rinna shading Spencer Pratt‘s run for the Mayor of Los Angeles while appearing on Tomi Lahren‘s radio show on Wednesday.

After Lisa, 62, said that a reality star shouldn’t be mayor, adding that while she “[loved]” Spencer, 44, they’d already done that and needed someone who’d “already been mayor,” Mauricio, 55, a real estate mogul and the estranged husband of Kyle Richards, 57, confirmed his political affiliation while also shading the woke and standing up for the right to bear arms.

“She’s like, ‘I’m not 100 percent sure, let’s have somebody that’s already been mayor, but I don’t want a reality star.’ So she’s really not willing to endorse [Karen Bass]. She’s not willing to say her name, but she’s happy to say ‘not a reality star.’ By the way, have we had a reality star as a mayor?” Mauricio wondered on the May 27 episode of Tomi Lahren is Fearless, as Tomi confirmed they had not.

Tomi then suggested that Lisa was referring to the president, Donald Trump, 79, which sparked Mauricio to share his own political aspirations.

“Let me tell you something: I’m a reality star, and I’ve thought many times about running for mayor. I actually think I could help the city and do some stuff. So, you know, don’t be surprised if I come at this thing in a few years, on the next election,” Mauricio, who has been featured on all 15 seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, announced.

“But yeah, I think that there are people that can do a lot of different stuff out there, and I don’t know how that comparison, I don’t know how she’s comparing Spencer to Donald. There’s just no comparison. They’re two completely different people,” he added.

According to Mauricio, he was impressed by Spencer’s ability to admit that he didn’t have all the answers, and he suggested he believed he’d be a successful mayor as long as he surrounded himself with the informed.

At another point on the show, Mauricio revealed he was “registered as an independent” but shared views with both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party.

“I lean much more Republican on the fiscal policies, without question, and I lean a little bit on the Democratic side on some of the liberal policies. Not all of them — to be clear,” he clarified. “I’m definitely not so much into this whole woke thing that’s going on. It’s a little bit too much. But there’s gotta be a middle ground.”

Then speaking of the Second Amendment, which gives U.S. citizens the right to own guns, Mauricio declared, “This is not gonna be politically correct. But, you know, I grabbed my gun … People coming into my house are not going to be happy.”

Mauricio also stated that “men are stronger than women,” deeming the statement as “just the fact,” before pointing out that it was good to be outspoken.

“Sometimes you have to be outspoken in order to start creating some change,” he explained.

No word yet on when filming begins on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 16.
