Stassi Schroeder revealed her least authentic Vanderpump Rules cast member and who she still talks to during an interview on Friday.
While also addressing her last conversation with Jax Taylor, 47, reacting to his romance with publicist Lori Krebs, and explaining why she didn’t join The Valley, Stassi, 38, revealed if the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast was different off-camera, shared the biggest misconception fans have about her, and more.
“Tom Sandoval [is the least authentic], and I always knew it. No one would listen, and here we are. He’s throwing old men in fire pits,” Stassi told It Girl on July 31, giving a nod to Sandoval’s caught-on-camera fight with his ex-girlfriend Victoria Lee Robinson‘s dad.
As for who she’s in touch with from Pump Rules, Stassi said, “Obviously, [Katie Maloney] and I talk to [Tom Schwartz] and see him every now and then.”
“I don’t talk to the other ones. I like, see [Ariana Madix] out and it’s always nice to see her. [But] I keep them at a distance. A lot of them, it’s like, if you give an inch they take a mile. So if I run into them, we’ll be cordial. But I’m not picking up the phone anytime soon,” she shared.
Regarding her last conversation with Jax, Stassi said it was prior to his last-minute exit from her wedding to Beau Clark, 46.
“I couldn’t even tell you. I haven’t talked to him in like five years, it feels like, since before my wedding,” she revealed.
According to Stassi, she feels Jax dating his publicist, who he previously shared with estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, 37, is reminiscent of “Scandoval,” which saw Sandoval, 43, being caught cheating on Ariana, 41, with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 31.
“Dude!” she exclaimed. “It’s like Scandoval all over again. This sh*t is crazy. I feel so bad for Brittany … It’s so believable because he’s a horrible person, but that publicist, I always knew she was bad news. I felt it the first time I met her. I don’t keep it in. Don’t get it taken out. I always felt she was bad news. I have really bad instincts, I feel like, when it comes to shady people. Honestly, I guess they’re right for each other. I hope they get married. I hope it lasts.”
“I also think that she leaked it. I do … She submitted those photos,” Stassi added of the images of Jax and Lori that surfaced online last month.
While several of her former Pump Rules castmates are now starring on The Valley, Stassi said the show wasn’t for her.
“I don’t live in the Valley,” she reasoned. “[But] I think they’ve done a really good job of creating something. I will give them their flowers. I think the cast is really honest, and I appreciate when people put their sh*t out there. That was just never gonna be for me. I have a different aesthetic.”
Although The Valley wasn’t for her, she did get into hosting and was recently featured on the SLOMW reunion.
Of the cast, Stassi confirmed that “they all are exactly what they’re like on TV.”
Looking back on the production of her new show, House of Stassi, Stassi said the only Pump Rules co-star she considered, aside from the ones shown, was Schwartz.
“We thought about asking Schwartz, but he’s contracted with Bravo, so that was that,” she explained.
Then, after saying that she would love “to tell [the] whole f*cking story” about why House of Stassi wasn’t on Bravo but “really can’t,” Stassi revealed the most misunderstood thing about her.
“When people come up to me, a lot of the times, they think they need to be this bad b*tch,” she revealed. “And they’re just like, ‘Oh my God, I’m a bad b*tch too.’ I don’t feel like I’m like that. I’m actually very polite, and I’m not mean to people unless they give me a reason to be. Like, I’m not just like accosting people left and right. But people will come up to me and just expect me to be this aggressive like, a**hole and I’m like, ‘No, I’m not like that, and you don’t need to be like that either.’”
