Tate Paul clapped back at a comment Liann May left on Instagram with a lengthy post about Taylor Frankie Paul‘s affair with Brayden Rowley.
After the mother of the 32-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star accused Tate, 34, of allowing Taylor to be the victim of a sex crime after deciding to be swingers, Tate fired back at Liann, 50, insisting that it was Taylor who paraded her affair with Brayden, the former husband of Taylor’s fellow MomToker, Makenna Gibbons, 32, and requested an “open relationship.”
“What did you expect to happen when you all decided to swing with each other? ALL of you cheated! You were ALL to blame! NONE of you were innocent in this. Of course someone is going to catch feelings. I would have said the same thing if the roles were reversed. That’s a guarantee!” Liann began, as seen in Tate’s post on TikTok.
According to Liann, Taylor’s affair with Brayden wasn’t consensual.
“He totally took advantage of Taylor, she was blacked out drunk, and didn’t remember even consenting to have sex, regardless of them talking [and] liking each other before. That’s a sex crime in [itself],” she declared.
“As for Tate knowing she was so intoxicated and letting his wife and mother of his kids go off with a man that she wasn’t capable of making any kind of decisions regardless if she wanted to or not is irrelevant and so irresponsible,” she continued, “but then again, any man that has the ‘IDEA of swinging,’ that’s to be expected.”
“THE ONLY people involved that [were] truly innocent were all your children. It sucks because the KIDS are the ones that paid the price for ALL your bad decisions!” she added.
As he featured the comment on his page, Tate, the father of Taylor’s two oldest children, posted a lengthy response to Liann.
“I’ve stayed quiet on this subject out of protection of my children, however staying silent doesn’t feel like an ethical move at this point given the egregious nature of what’s been recently said by Liann,” he reasoned.
“Liann, let me refresh your memory. I called your daughter that night multiple times asking her to come home and she refused, telling me to leave her alone because she was venting to her friend who randomly picked her up without my knowledge. I had no choice but to respect her request,” he explained.
Looking back on what went down, Tate said that he received a call around midnight from Makenna, who informed him that Taylor and Brayden’s phones had been turned off.
“I had to bring my sleepy kids over to [Makenna’s] so I could find your daughter. Brayden had a Tesla so [Makenna] could honk the horn remotely so I could determine the exact home she was at. She invited him over that night and she continued to sleep with him after being caught,” he noted.
Tate then revealed that Taylor had sobered up by the time he found her but wouldn’t discuss what went down at first. Then, the following day, she insisted she and Brayden had “just talked.”
Ultimately, Tate learned more about the affair after Makenna found texts between them.
“It confirmed everything these two were up to. The night I learned about the affair I was in the kitchen sobbing while Taylor sat on the stairs stoically staring at me,” he recalled. “I was expressing my feelings of anger and betrayal. She looked at me while I was crying and grinned and said ‘do you want me to tell you more?’ She then proceeded to share very hurtful graphic details of all the things her and Brayden did behind our backs aside from sleeping with each other with…excitement.”
“The enjoyment of others suffering is something I’ve never understood,” he went on.
Tate then denied that he and Taylor were swingers.
“The need for an ‘open relationship’ was one sided. It wasn’t planned or my idea to do that. In fact I pretended to be sick the first time your daughter asked to do it,” he alleged.
“Liann, it is not your place or appropriate to publicly speak about events you weren’t involved in. I have withheld this and much more information for years because she’s the mother of my children. Get your facts straight before you publicly claim nefarious dishonest accusations to excuse your daughter’s mistakes. Maybe plow your energy and time towards the health of your family and marriage rather than spreading misinformation online to protect your daughter’s image at the expense of others,” he concluded.
