Seeing as it’s a day that ends in Y, it’s no surprise that there’s more drama surrounding The Valley star Brittany Cartwright and her ex Jax Taylor.

The two have been constantly making headlines as of late over their bitter back-and-forth fighting and restraining orders, and the newest reports continue in the same vein.

In a new story from TMZ, Jax’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, criticized Brittany, 37,  saying she’s trying to “beat him down” with her custody and restraining order battles.

What’s more, Mark thinks Brittany hopes all the pressure on Jax will cause him to stumble in his current sobriety journey.

When speaking to the publication, Mark said Brittany attempted to limit Jax’s custody as part of her restraining order request; however, the court turned that down.

He pointed out that Brittany did not try to limit Jax’s custody over the past year, and he thinks her current concerns are not based in fact but rather in fabricated emergencies.

Mark also stated Brittany knew the two sides were going to go to court based on communications between their lawyers, and that’s why she rushed to file what he’s calling a fabricated emergency.

As for Jax, 47,  Mark noted he has passed every drug test since he left rehab. He does think Brittany’s attempt to “beat him down” is being done in the hopes that he will “stray from his maintained sobriety.”

He elaborated, “That is a goal for which she will not succeed.”

Mark’s statement to TMZ comes on the heels of another report from the publication that Jax and Brittany are allegedly fighting over her wedding ring.

According to documents filed in her restraining order case, Jax wrote an email to Brittany telling her to stop asking about her ring and insisting she wasn’t getting it anytime soon.

“You are not getting the ring back till court … do not ask again,” an email exhibit from August 21 read.

On an episode of The Valley, Brittany had stated she didn’t know where her rings were.

“They’re not in the safe. They’re nowhere in the house. Nothing. Don’t know where they are,” she shared.

In another episode, Jax shared that he had the rings and had put them in a safe, but Brittany didn’t seem to completely believe him.

In the legal documents she filed, Brittany shared that the wedding ring and matching band are her separate property and total approximately $80K.

Brittany also took to her Instagram Stories this week to share a cryptic quote about a “narcissist” amid her battle with Jax.

The post read, “A narcissist is going to tantrum no matter what you do. So, you might as well start making choices and decisions that work for you, and let them tantrum.”

From the latest reports, it seems that there’s no end in sight for their bitter divorce.
