Sutton Stracke has a new man in her life — and he’s already getting some not-so-great attention.
After the 55-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared her first photo with her new flame, who has since been identified as former New York City banker John C. Kelly, 44, his controversial past, which included a decade-old arrest for allegedly recording women in sex acts without their consent, began making headlines.
“Starting the week like this!” Sutton declared on Instagram on November 2, along with a photo of John kissing her on the cheek as confetti swirled around them at the Hollywood Bowl, where Aerosmith was performing.

Shortly after the post was shared, John was identified.
“They met on Bumble,” a source told Page Six on November 2. “They have been spending time together since the summer.”
According to the report, John used to work for Morgan Stanley, but he left the banking industry in 2013 after being arrested and accused of recording three women during sex acts without their consent between 2011 and 2012. At the time, John was facing a whopping 19 charges. However, he went on to accept a plea deal and was able to evade jail time.
A 2016 article by the NY Post slammed John’s plea deal as a “slap on the wrist” as the then-34-year-old was offered 10 days of community service if he pled guilty to one count of misdemeanor attempted unlawful surveillance.
John’s dad, John Q. Kelly, 73, was a high-profile attorney for over 40 years, representing the estate of the late Nicole Brown Simpson and aiding President Donald Trump, 80, in his case against Meta.
Sutton was previously married to Christian Stracke, with whom she shares three adult children. However, after their divorce in 2018, Christian had their marriage annulled by the Catholic Church.
As RHOBH fans well know, Sutton hasn’t dated much since they first met her on the show. In fact, her main relationship was with Sanjit Das, whom she went public with in 2022 amid season 12.
“I like Sanjit a lot, and we’re friends,” she later clarified, via Page Six. “I went out with him a couple weeks ago, and I was like, ‘Sanjit, you’re kind of cute.’ It’s confusing. He might be a slow burn.”
Sutton also admitted that while she can “catch” men, it’s hard for her to keep them.
“It’s prickly,” she added. “It’s not fun, and it’s not light. All I want is a boyfriend.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 16 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in early 2027.
