Ariana Madix explained the rough patches she goes through with boyfriend Tom Sandoval on Friday’s episode of Scheana Shay‘s podcast.

Before offering an update on the eggs she froze with Scheana ahead of Vanderpump Rules season nine, Ariana revealed what her and Tom’s hardships look like before sharing which scene she wished had been included in the recently-aired episodes and opening up about her past struggles with an eating disorder.

“I feel like they are short. A rough patch for us is like a day or a few hours where I’m really annoyed with him. And it’s usually something stupid but we definitely go through rough patches,” Ariana admitted on the February 11 episode of Scheananigans.

According to Ariana, she and Tom also encounter arguments that neither of them are willing to budge on. However, those particular debates aren’t deal-breakers.

“We know we don’t agree about [certain topics]. It’s not an important thing that we have to agree on in order to be in a happy relationship together. So we just don’t talk about it,” she explained.

While Ariana and Tom have seemed to be on different pages at times when it comes to their plans for a future family, Ariana has insisted that neither of them want kids right now. And, amid her chat with Scheana, she said they had an amazing time babysitting her and Brock Davies‘ daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies, even though the filmed scene was ultimately cut from Pump Rules.

“We sang ‘Good as Girl’ to her. It was so cute and fun,” Ariana recalled, noting the moment as the one she wished had been seen on the show.

Looking back at the way in which she’s changed since first being seen on Pump Rules, Ariana said she’s “way more sure of [herself]” and much healthier.

“How have I grown? I’ve grown in size. But I don’t care as much. I started the show, I feel, with like a full-blown eating disorder and now, I feel like I have some tendencies towards disordered eating but at least I’m more, I think, conscious of it and will fight against it to be healthy,” she shared.

She also said that she’s overcome certain aspects of her depression.

“Recognizing it as a thing and allowing it to be what it is has definitely helped with getting better or at least dealing with it as it comes in those waves,” she noted.

As for her frozen eggs, Ariana confirmed that despite suggesting he would like to one day have kids, Tom has not yet fertilized the eggs.

“I’m like, ‘Just go do it.’ He has not yet done that,” Ariana confirmed. “I’d love for him to just do… take half of them and do it. They’re more viable if they are embryos. I was just thinking, just in case somebody else wanted them, like a friend.”
