Could Candiace Dillard-Bassett be pregnant?
Ahead of the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, which wrapped production earlier this summer, Candiace shared a tweet that has many fans wondering if she and her husband, Chris Bassett, are expecting their first child together.
“I’m ready for post preg hips,” Candiace tweeted on August 9.
Right away, the RHOP cast member’s fans and followers flooded her with both questions and congratulatory messages.
“Ma’am don’t play with me like this… If you’re pregnant, CONGRATULATIONS,” one person replied.
“Ummm should we be excited!?” another asked.
“Girl you pregnant?!?” wondered a third.
And a fourth fan said that if Candiace isn’t pregnant, “imma be pissed.”
In a video shared on YouTube last month, Candiace confirmed she was undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) in hopes of conceiving a baby.
“I am going through an IVF journey, some of which you might see on the show, I’m not sure. But I’m happy to talk through it with you guys and if anyone has questions, I’m happy to answer any questions,” she began in a video originally shared on her Instagram Story.
According to Candiace, her first cycle failed. But she was continuing the process.
“I’m currently in my second cycle and it is going really well. So several mornings, very early mornings, a week, I have to drive to… the doctor’s office that is helping me with my journey [so I can be monitored] to ensure that medications and the injections that I’m giving myself every morning and every night are yielding the result that my doctor is looking for and that my follicles are growing, that my ovaries are being stimulated, and giving us the results that we are looking for so that I can actually harvest eggs.”
If Candiace and Chris are expecting their first child together, it’s safe to say they have plenty of space for him or her. After all, the couple dropped $1 million for a 10,000-square-foot French chateau-style home in November 2020.
The Real Housewives of Potomac season seven is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime before the end of the year.
