Lala Kent is expecting her second child.
Ahead of the third birthday of her first child, daughter Ocean Kent, the Vanderpump Rules cast member, 33, took to her Instagram page with a photo of her baby bump, announcing that she is pregnant with baby number two as she was met with well-wishes and congratulatory messages from her co-stars and other Bravolebrities.
“I’m expanding my pod,” Lala wrote in the caption of a March 3 photo of her baby bump.
“A [Mary Ruth Organics] cheers to a new addition to my little family,” Lala added as she also included a photo of herself and Ocean with a container of vitamins and a prenatal supplement.
Following the sharing of Lala’s post, she was met with several comments from her Pump Rules castmates and Andy Cohen, 55.
“So so so so soooo Happy for you my love!!!!!” Katie Maloney, 37, wrote.
“BRAVO!” added Andy.
“Soooo happy for youuu [and] Ocean,” said Ally Lewber, 27.
Meanwhile, Kristina Kelly spoke of what Ocean would be like “as a big sister.”
Other Bravolebrities also weighed in, including Guerdy Abraira, 46, who wrote, “OMGGGG SIS CONGRATS,” and Dorinda Medley, 59, who said, “So happy for you … This is incredible!!!!”
“Awwwwwwwwweeeee Yessssss,” proclaimed Mercedes “MJ” Javid, 51.
“Congrats! So happy for you!” said Whitney Rose, 37.
Kenya Moore, 53, then shared, “Oh wow!!!” Heather Dubrow, 55, added, “Congratulations!”
Shortly after her announcement, Lala found herself in the midst of a funny situation with her daughter, who she caught trying on her shoes.
“If I have another girl… God help me… And my gorgeous shoes,” Lala wrote in the caption of an Instagram Story clip.
“Don’t get in here! I’m naked!” Ocean yelled in the video.
“Are you putting mom’s shoes on?” Lala replied.
“Yeah, because I’m a princess,” Ocean explained. “I have hella boots over there. I have boots right there, boots right here, everything.”
Lala’s pregnancy announcement comes just over a month after she confirmed plans to welcome her second child through intrauterine insemination (IUI).
“I will not gamble on me having my [second] child,” Lala told Cosmopolitan in late January. “And I just don’t think that finding a partner and falling in love with someone has anything to do with bringing a child into the world.”
“I would say the IUI process is very much having scientific sex,” she continued. “It’s the most wild thing in the world. When my doctor was explaining it to me, I was like, Oh, this is just like I am in the bedroom with someone, but I don’t have to wait for the big O. It’s just one and done. Like, let’s just get it done, get the most valuable thing that comes out of a man, which is his sperm, and I’ll be on my way.”
She then explained the process of selecting a sperm donor.
“It’s like you’re shopping for your partner but only to have a child, so there’s a lot that goes into it,” she said. “But the moment I found this donor, it just spoke to me. He felt like my baby daddy.”
Lala welcomed daughter Ocean with Randall Emmett, 52, in March 2021. They split months later.
