Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill‘s friendship fallout appears to be a hot topic on the 10th season of The Real Housewives of New York City. And in a new interview, Bethenny is speaking out about the reported falling out for the first time.

However, according to Bethenny, she and her co-star never actually went through a falling out, which contradicts recent comments by Carole and their RHONY castmates.

“There’s no fallout between Carole and myself,” Bethenny told TheFIX on April 9. “I really love Carole.”

Following a number of statements from Carole, all of which suggested that she and Bethenny did have a falling out during production, Bethenny claims she and Carole weren’t that close to begin with.

“Most of my friends, my best friends, I’ve had for 30 years. So, I have my really tight-knit group and meeting any new people is always – I don’t want to say risky – but it’s not the same depth and dimension as friends that you’ve had your whole life,” she explained.

As for the apparent drama on The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny said her alleged issues with Carole have been played up by their co-stars.

“Creating friendships under these circumstances on a reality show with so many people around… If you have any sort of slight shift, everybody’s like, well, what happened?… There are too many cooks spoiling the broth,” she continued.

“I love Carole, and I love being on the show with her, and it’s been a great experience,” Bethenny added.

Although Bethenny has downplayed any drama between herself and Carole, Carole told a much different story last week and seemed to suggest Bethenny had said and done things that caused a divide between them.

“I’m an idealistic kind of person. I look at the world that way, I look at people that way, and I think I looked at her that way,” Carole told E! News. “And I feel like now I see her a little bit more realistically and less idealistically. There were just some things that were said and done that I just felt like weren’t completely consistent with the girl I knew.”

The Real Housewives of New York City season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
