There is speculation that the couple, who have been dating for over two years now, might have secretly tied the knot after Lala’s name was listed as “Lauren Emmett” in her father’s obituary. Lala is actually her nickname.
Following Kent Burningham’s passing on April 21, 2018, Dignity Memorial shared a report about his death and listed his many relatives, including the Vanderpump Rules star. However, rather than using Lala’s professional name, Lala Kent, the website listed her as “Lauren Emmett.”
“His memory lives on through his wife, Lisa; son, Brandon (Cheryl); grandchildren, Drayson and London; son, Easton; daughter, Lauren (Randall Emmett), and the many family and friends who knew him,” the website wrote.
Dignity Memorial also shared a list of family members further down in the memorial, naming “Lauren (Randall) Emmett” as Burningham’s daughter.
Lala has been dating movie producer Randall since early 2016 and has been sporting a band on her engagement finger for months. However, in recent interviews, the reality star has made it clear that she isn’t yet engaged, nor is she in a rush to get married.
Just two months ago, Lala confirmed her future plans with Randall in an interview.
“We’re not in a rush to get married, but yeah, I see that happening,” she said. “And I see us having a family, it’s just all about timing.”
Although it seems possible that Lala and Randall have already wed, the obituary shouldn’t be seen as a confirmation for any such news. After all, it made at least a couple of typographical errors in their announcement, including a misspelling of Lala’s first name, which is not “Lauren,” but “Lauryn.”
Lala’s real name is actually Lauryn Burningham, although she later changed it to Lala Kent. Kent is her dad’s first name.
Days after Lala’s dad passed away, an insider shared an update on how Lala was coping to Reality Blurb.
“As of right now, Lala is in Utah with her family and staying out of the limelight,” the source told us. “She just appreciates everyone’s kind words and prayers.”

Your obituary came out today. It becomes more and more real by the day. I refuse to accept it. You live on through me and everyone you came in contact with. You are a beautiful soul. I pray I can be just half the person you were and represented. May Wednesday come peacefully & be nothing but tears of joy and a celebration of my sweet, kindhearted dad. Rest in paradise with a glass of wine. Until we meet again ♥️
The season finale of Vanderpump Rules airs tonight on Bravo at 9/8c.
