Jenelle Evans‘ recent road rage incident hasn’t come as good news to her mother, Barbara Evans.

After the Teen Mom 2 star pulled out a gun on another driver during a behind-the-wheel dispute with her nine-year-old son, Jace, sitting in the front seat, Barbara, who has been Jace’s legal guardian for the past several years, decided to take Jenelle to court in an effort to strip her of her custody rights.

During Monday night’s season finale of Teen Mom 2, Barbara was seen reaching out to her attorney after speaking to her grandson about Jenelle’s scary encounter before confronting her daughter about the incident herself.

“Did you pull a gun on him? That’s what he’s telling me,” Barbara asked, revealing Jace had made shocking claims against his mother.

“No I didn’t Jace. Why are you saying I pulled a gun out on him? I did not do that,” Jenelle replied.

According to Barbara, Jenelle shouldn’t be following “crazy people” to their homes. However, according to Jenelle, she was trying to prove a point to the man after he tailgated her.

“I’m protected all the time. The point is you don’t tailgate people,” Jenelle reasoned.

Later on in the episode, Barbara placed a call to Nathan Griffith, the father of Jenelle’s second son, four-year-old Kaiser.

“I am so shaken by this,” Barbara said to him. “When Jenelle left therapy with Jace, who was sitting in the front seat, some guy was giving her road rage. Instead of her letting the guy go, she follows him. She pulled a gun out. Jace was in the front seat. What if he had a gun and shot Jenelle? What if it killed Jace?”

“She should’ve just let him go and went back to her house. A lot of people have road rage, it doesn’t mean you act like a maniac and start pulling guns on people,” Nathan replied.

“We’ve got to get these kids out of that house. This is bad. I got a call to my attorney. We’re going to court to get him out of his house. This is serious sh*t. We need to get Kaiser out,” Barbara continued.

Barbara’s custody comments come just days after Nathan spoke to TMZ about his own plans to use Jenelle’s road rage incident against her in their custody battle.

“I think this helps me in my situation of getting custody of Kaiser because it shows an unstable environment and it shows a very hectic situation instead of being calm and smoothed over, escalating where it could potentially be more hazardous,” he explained. “I think it shows that the child might be in danger, being in a hostile situation like that and not making sound judgments to keep the children safe.”

“I know Teen Mom 2, they cut out certain scenes and stuff,” Nathan continued. “But of course we’re going to investigate further into the raw footage. Maybe try to subpoena some of the things to court. But overall like I said, I can provide a stable and peaceful  environment and even footage shows where I’m constantly trying to take Kaiser out of a hostile situation.”

“I am afraid that if she carries a loaded weapon inside a vehicle and she keeps it that accessible without a lock on it, it’s very dangerous to be around children,” he added.
