Is LuAnn de Lesseps facing money troubles?

Just weeks after the Real Housewives of New York City star was accused of stealing her kids’ inheritance in a lawsuit, a new report is now stating she may have already blown through the millions of dollars she allegedly owes her children.

First, sources reveal Luann didn’t really return to rehab to face her demons, but rather to hide from her mounting family drama.

“Going to treatment has bought her some time, but LuAnn still has a lot of explaining to do when she gets out,” an insider revealed in the latest issue of Star magazine.

The source told the magazine that LuAnn blew through her cash instead of putting it into a trust fund for her kids, Victoria de Lesseps, 23, and Noel de Lesseps, 21, as her 2009 divorce from Count Alexandre de Lesseps required of her.

“She makes good money on her reality show, but it’s going to take her many, many years to pay back the $5 million!”

Weeks ago, LuAnn was sued by her ex-husband and their two children after she reportedly failed to put millions into her kids’ trust fund after selling their former home in The Hamptons.

During an interview with People magazine last week, LuAnn opened up about the lawsuit.

“My kids are my children,” LuAnn explained. “The press can write whatever they want.”

LuAnn then said it was her former husband who is the driving force behind the case.

“Yeah, I have a little problem, driven by the ex-husband, who I’m not happy about right now, okay? And I’m resolving it as quickly as possible,” LuAnn continued. “I’m gonna see my children this weekend. It’s not about the children, it’s about the ex.”

Oddly enough, Luann’s castmate Bethenny Frankel just did a recent interview in which she revealed some of her fellow housewives are living beyond their means.

“They can’t afford the lives they’re living,” said Bethenny to Money Magazine. “And if the music stops, they’re going to get in some real trouble.”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
