Does Kyle Richards want to get past her ongoing feud with Lisa Vanderpump?
Following what has been reported as a messy falling out amid the ninth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle was asked about the last time she spoke to Lisa during a new interview, and although she answered “not that recently,” she remains hopeful for a future reconciliation with her one-time best friend.
“I mean, well… that’s a question you have to ask her!” Kyle told ET Online when asked what led to her feud with Lisa, during an appearance at the Rebag Los Angeles Store Opening in West Hollywood on Thursday, November 8.
She continued, “All l I know is, I love Lisa. We’ve been friends for many years. We started the show together. We’re the two last originals left from the cast, and I love her. If she needs to take her time to, you know, step away for whatever reason, you know, all I know is, we’ve all reached out to her. We’ve all included her. We’ve all wanted her to be there and included. The ball’s in her court, I guess, you know? It’s up to her.”
Lisa has been at odds with Kyle and the rest of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast since October after the women reportedly caught her in some sort of lie – something Lisa has denied.
There have also been claims of an alleged fight between Kyle and Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd, which reportedly occurred during filming at Lisa and Ken’s Beverly Hills home.
Although there have been several reports suggesting Lisa is being bullied by her co-stars, Kyle said that is not at all what’s happening and insisted Lisa continues to be invited to cast events.
“There’s stories about, that we haven’t invited her, that we haven’t included her. That’s not true! She’s been included, invited to everything,” Kyle said. “So, we’re like, no. No, that’s not what’s happening here. So, you feel the need to defend yourself when you see stories like that, or comments. People, I’m like, where are they getting this from?! That’s not true. That didn’t happen. Sometimes we can’t resist clapping back, what can I say?”
And with only a few weeks left to film for the upcoming season, Kyle admits she’s not certain there will be any resolution to the ongoing drama.
“I’d like to see some resolution, yeah, to some of the things that are going on,” she stated. “I think we’ll have some resolution with some, and some I don’t know.”
In a separate interview with Us Weekly, Kyle addressed the possibility of a delayed premiere date for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season nine, which was recently blamed on Lisa. However, according to Kyle, the cast has simply been seeing later premiere dates each season.
“You know what? We started later this year, so every year we start a little later and later. At the very beginning, we premiered in October. Then it was November, then it was December, so over the years, its kind of gone on,” she explained. “A lot of it actually has to do with our schedules ourselves, so we had to get all of the traveling out of the way over the summer before we started to shoot.”
Kyle also teased that fans can expect plenty of “craziness” during season nine
“It’s, like, a wild ride this season, I swear,” she teased. “You never know what’s going to happen. Every day, I’m like, ‘What is happening next?’ I don’t even know.”
It also appears Kyle’s recent reconciliation with her sister Kathy Hilton is still in tact as Kathy attended the Nov. 8 event with Kyle.
Following the outing, Kyle took to her Instagram page to share a photo with her big sis. “About last night … with my sister @kathyhilton at the @rebagofficial opening #handbagheaven #sisters,” wrote Kyle.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season nine is expected to premiere sometime early next year on Bravo TV.
