Teen Mom OG Dad Ryan Edwards Arrested for Heroin Possession and Theft

Ryan Edwards was arrested last week and will remain behind bars until April.

According to a new report, the Teen Mom OG star and father of two was in court on Monday to address a pending heroin possession charge against him. However, because the case was continued, he is required to stay in jail until his next court date.

“The case has been continued to April 15, 2019,” the Clerk of Court for Red Bank County told Radar Online on January 29. “He’s going to serve time in county jail until then.”

Ryan was taken into custody on January 23, about one month after he was accused of walking out on a $36 bar tab. As the outlet explained, Ryan was on probation at the time of his crime. So, when he later reported to the Hamilton County Probation Office, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charged with simple possession of heroin.

According to a police report from the Chattanooga Police Department, a server from Bud’s Sports Bar called police on December 19, 2018 after Ryan ordered six Jack Daniels Whiskey drinks and left without paying.

As for Ryan’s heroin possession charge, that occurred in March 2017 when police confiscated 14 hypodermic needles from him, one of which contained heroin. Months later, after his May 2017 wedding to wife Mackenzie Standifer, Ryan checked into rehab but left after completing just 21 days of the 30-day program.

The following year, Ryan was arrested after failing a drug test, and also for breaking probation on a past heroin possession charge. Then, at the end of summer 2018, he checked back into rehab and remained there until Thanksgiving day.

During his latest stint in rehab, Ryan’s wife gave birth to his second son, Jagger Ryan.

Ryan will return to court on February 4 to address the theft charge.
