RHOC's Vicki Gunvalson Issues Statement on Fraud Lawsuit Through Attorneys, Says She Is Not to Blame

Vicki Gunvalson hasn’t just lost her full-time role on The Real Housewives of Orange County. She has also lost her massive salary.

According to a new report, the longtime reality star will be making a fraction of her previous salary of $1 million now that she has been demoted to a “friend” role for season 14.

On July 3, Radar Online revealed Vicki is earning $20,000 per episode for the new season, which is a major cut from her previous salary of $60,000 per episode.

“With her $60,000 per episode before this, her ‘RHOC’ salary was approximately $1.26 million,” the source explained.

Although the new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County will include 21 episodes, which would make up for a grand total of $420,000 for Vicki, the insider said she “likely won’t be in all of the episodes this season.” That said, when it comes to a part-time salary, Vicki is making quite a lot considering she didn’t film as much as her co-stars.

“A new Housewife begs for $5,000 an episode, so for Vicki to be getting that much she is very lucky,” the source noted.

Following her demotion, Vicki took to her Instagram page, where she labeled herself the “OG of the “OC.”

“I am back again this season right in the middle of the action in a different role,” she told fans. “I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras.”

According to a previous report from Radar Online, Bravo TV chose to demote Vicki for season 14 because they want “to skew younger.”

The report also said that despite Vicki’s demotion, there are no plans to cut her from the show completely.

“She will continue to appear on the show as a friend for seasons to come because she’s a household name. No one sees the network making her a main cast member again. Unless the season completely tanks,” a source explained.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 14 premieres on Tuesday, August 6 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
