During a recent chat with fans on her Instagram Stories, the former Teen Mom 2 star admitted that she and David were on “bad terms” after the animal’s murder. Jenelle’s former boyfriend, Nathan Griffith, also lashed out about her recent custody win on Twitter.
“Was it a hard decision to stay with David after the dog incident?” a fan asked Jenelle during the chat.
“Honestly yes,” Jenelle replied. “We were on bad terms for almost a week. Didn’t talk much. He knows how upset it made me.”
David killed Jenelle’s French bulldog in late April and the following month, Child Protective Services (CPS) removed their three kids, including 11-year-old Maryssa, five-year-old Kaiser, and two-year-old Ensley, from their home.
Although Jenelle and David temporarily lost custody of their kids in May, they were able to regain custody last week.
“Now that we are getting over this incident, our relationship has got a lot stronger,” Jenelle continued. “David has completed anger management as well.”
After Jenelle and David regained custody of their three children, Nathan took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter before deleting his tweet.
“I’ve calm[ed] down a bit and [am] just relying on my faith at this moment,” Nathan tweeted, according to a report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “I’m not going to put my two cents in but if anyone wants to put their input [in], you can visit: https://survey.nccourts.org/1480690875 to complete a survey. Any input will help. The judge’s name is Pauline Hankins. TY #TeamGriffith.”
The link Nathan shared took fans to the NC Judicial Standards Complaint Form, which can be filled out by followers who want to file a complaint against the judge’s ruling.
Jenelle was fired from Teen Mom 2 in May after Nugget’s death.
