Southern Charm's Naomie Olindo Explains Her 'Adult Relationship' With Boyfriend Metul Shah

Naomie Olindo is opening up about her relationship with boyfriend Metul Shah after skipping out on the Southern Charm cast’s recent trip to Colorado.

After Metul was labeled as “controlling” and accused of banning her from participating in the vacation, which was attended by her ex-boyfriend Craig Conover, Naomie spoke about the dynamic between them during an After Show taping with co-star Danni Baird.

“Metul has the highest standards of anyone I’ve ever met,” Naomie said during the taping.

That said, when it comes to making decisions, Naomie insisted she would never allow her partner to make decisions for her.

“Metul would never make a decision for me. I don’t think that’s in my DNA,” she explained, adding that she and Metul are in an “adult relationship.”

“Adult relationships… you care about other people’s feelings and you respect their feelings,” she noted.

As for why she didn’t attend the Colorado trip, Naomie, who went public with Metul in March of last year, said she simply didn’t want to go because she didn’t believe it would end well.

“It’s absolutely not an issue of like, ‘He didn’t let you go, he’s controlling.’ It’s literally the opposite. It’s A, me not wanting to go because I didn’t think it would end well and B, it’s just weird,” she said.

As the After Show continued, Danni pointed out that women tend to “raise the bar” when it comes to their relationships while men keep their bar in the same place.

“It’s like the bar is at like, hot garbage, you know? There is no bar,” Naomie agreed. “They just do whatever.”

Southern Charm season six airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
