Tamra Judge isn’t happy with the way in which Bethenny Frankel chose to announce her exit from The Real Housewives of New York City.
During a new interview, the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member opened up about Bethenny’s decision to walk away from her role after eight seasons and suggested she wasn’t being honest about the reason she parted ways with Bravo TV.
In a statement announcing her exit from RHONY, Bethenny stated that she was leaving the show to spend more time with her nine-year-old daughter Bryn and to focus on working on other TV projects. Tamra however isn’t buying it.
“I hate when a housewife either gets fired or says she quits… When they go on record [and] say, ‘I just need to spend time with my kids,’” Tamra explained on The Daily Pop.
According to the RHOC star, she feels that Bethenny already had plenty of time to spend with her daughter.
“[I’m] just like, ‘Really? Because you weren’t spending time because we work three hours a day?’” she wondered.
Tamra then poked fun at Bethenny and other housewives who have left Bravo TV by mocking their similar statements.
”I need to spend some quality time with my children. Or the drama is just too much for me, I can’t stand the toxic environment,” she laughed.
Bethenny confirmed her exit from The Real Housewives of New York City cast on August 21 with a statement to Variety.
“I have decided to leave the ‘Housewives’ franchise to explore my next chapter,” she said at the time. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have.”
Days after Bethenny’s exit, a report came out claiming a contract dispute was the real reason she decided to quit the Bravo series, just moments before the new season was set to begin filming.
Tamra’s comments about Bethenny come just a day after she got into a feud with former RHOBH star Brandi Glanville.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 14 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
