RHOBH Star Erika Jayne's Husband Thomas Girardi Pays Portion of Overdue Balance

Erika Jayne’s husband, attorney Thomas Girardi, is doing his best to take care of the balance he still owes to the Law Finance Group.

Nearly one year after the organization sued the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband, he has paid off $3 million dollars of the debt he accrued. However, he isn’t completely out of the woods yet when it comes to his ongoing legal issues.

On October 30, The Blast revealed Thomas paid $2,982,272.42 towards the $6 million he owes to the Law Finance Group, who sued him in January after he allegedly failed to pay them back for a $15 million loan. In the suit, they accused Thomas of using the money to “maintain [his] lavish lifestyle.”

Although Thomas ultimately paid back $10 million to the company, he was hit with a $6 million judgement over the summer after failing to pay back the full amount by the agreed-upon deadline of July 7. Then, one month later, the Law Finance Group filed documents requesting Erika appear in court because they believed she was in possession of Thomas’ personal property.

In addition to the remaining $3 million he owes to the Law Finance Group, Thomas is also facing a $3.5 million lawsuit from Stillwell Madison for an unpaid loan and a $40,000 lawsuit from JJ Jackson Consulting, who allegedly provided expert consulting services for one of his clients but was never paid.

In response to the suit, Thomas has previously stated: “The truth of the matter is this. I have not taken one penny from the law firm in the past three years. I have devoted everything to assist in the cases that we have here. Further, the money that was borrowed, we agreed to repay in approximately two weeks before the lawsuit. It is slanderous that the money was for my ‘lifestyle’ … every penny went for costs in cases that the firm is handling.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return to Bravo TV for season 10 sometime next year.
