Is RHOA Star Nene Leakes Planning to Sue Bravo? Her Lawyer Speaks Out Amid Frustrations Over Season 12 Portrayal and Feud With Andy Cohen

Is NeNe Leakes preparing to sue Bravo?

Just one day after the Real Housewives of Atlanta star announced she was “gonna make some noise” after getting high-powered attorney Lisa Bloom on her “team,” Lisa is speaking out about her new client as a source reveals details about the frustrations Nene had with season 12.

“Yes, I have spoken to Nene Leakes about her situation,” Lisa told Radar Online on February 6. “I’m so pleased she reached out to me. While our conversation is confidential, I encourage everyone to stand up for their rights!”

Nene announced she was working with Lisa on Wednesday.

According to the Radar Online report, Nene isn’t happy with how positively her on-screen nemesisKenya Moore, has been portrayed on the show and is feeling burned by her producers.

“NeNe feels like she is getting a bad edit and is being intentionally cut out of episodes,” a source alleged.

As RHOA fans likely heard, Nene allegedly announced she was “quitting” the show in January, via text, to her friend Wendy Williams, who proceeded to share the news on her show. However, a short time later, Nene’s rep denied she’s made any decisions about her future.

While Bravo has reportedly not heard anything from Nene or her attorney in regard to a potential lawsuit, the source went on to reveal that Nene believes she’s been “used for ratings” throughout the show’s 12th season and also feels Kenya is treated better.

“Kenya gets away with murder time and time again and NeNe gets all of the criticism,” a source alleged.

In addition to her issues with season 12, Nene has also had problems with Bravo exec Andy Cohen, who publicly slammed her for wearing the same dress twice on an episode of his late-night talk show, Watch What Happens Live, in December.

“Andy has had everyone else on Watch What Happens Live except her. And he picked on her dress. She’s tired of it all,” the insider continued.

Following Andy’s diss, Nene slammed the host and Real Housewives creator for being “messy” and attempting to humiliate her.

As fans of the franchise will recall, Vicki Gunvalson filed a lawsuit against Bravo last year, demanding producers remove footage of Kelly Dodd slamming her as a “con woman” from The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Although Vicki ultimately dropped the case, she will not be returning for the new season.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
