Stassi Schroeder does not have anything against Kristen Doute‘s single status.
After hearing that Kristen had suggested she ditched her because she only wanted friends in committed relationships, the Vanderpump Rules cast member clapped back at her former bestie in a new interview while addressing the criticism surrounding Katie Maloney‘s Oscars look on Instagram.
“That is the sort of thing that pushes me even further away,” Stassi told Us Weekly in response to Kristen’s comments. “Because if that were the case, the whole entire time when I was like, ‘Dude, you should totally break up with [Brian Carter],’ but then I was just going to dump her as a friend because she’s single?”
“I’m like, ‘Kristen doesn’t think I want to be her friend because she’s single? That is the lamest sh*t,’” she added.
Last month, during her own interview with the same outlet, Kristen said she felt Stassi was on a “high horse” after getting engaged to fiancé Beau Clark and suggested she doesn’t fit in with Stassi’s current group of friends because it consists mainly of couples.
“[Lala Kent] has [Randall Emmett] and [Brittany Cartwright] has [Jax Taylor], Katie has [Tom Schwartz] and ‘OOP, here’s single Kristen, well that doesn’t fit with our group now. You can’t be in our pregnancy pact.’ But I don’t need a man to do everything that I’m doing,” Kristen stated, adding that she wished Stassi was “more understanding” about her split from Carter.
Kristen also accused Stassi of replacing her with Lala, but Stassi insisted that was not the case.
“This isn’t about taking a place,” she said. “If we’re talking about, ‘Oh, the witches of WeHo,’ we were just the witches of WeHo because it was us three together. Like, it’s not like, ‘Oh someone can come in and be a third.’ It’s not really about taking places.”
In other Pump Rules news, Stassi took to Instagram to defend Katie’s “Parisian-chic” Oscars dress after seeing that many had slammed the look.
“Everyone talking sh*t on Katie’s amazingly gorge alternative Parisian-chic Carrie Bradshaw look can go shave their backs now,” she wrote.
After Brittany shared the photo above, a number of fans commented on Katie’s look.
“What the F is Katy wearing?!!!” one person asked.
“Oh katie whyyyyyy,” wondered another.
Another person suggested Katie needed a style “intervention.”
