Kameron Westcott recently participated in a Q&A session with her fans and followers on her Instagram Stories, and during her chat, she confirmed that both she and Kary Brittingham would be part of the upcoming fifth season of The Real Housewives of Dallas.
In addition to explaining why she is coming back and what would make her leave her full-time role on the Bravo reality series, Kameron revealed what she believed were the best and worst parts of being on the show and said it was Cary Deuber who initially got her cast.
“Will you two return next season if [asked] to?” one person asked of Kameron and Kary.
“Yes… it’s too much fun now to walk away!!” Kameron explained.
As for when she’d consider quitting, Kameron said that decision lies with her kids.
“I always say… I will quit the minute my children say they want me off the show,” she shared. “Right now they don’t mind it and they know I promised them I would hold myself accountable for all my actions and would set a good example for them as best I can so they can be proud of their mother and never ashamed.”
Before production on RHOD season five was put on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, two new cast members, Dr. Tiffany Moon and Jennifer Long, were rumored to have been added to the show as Andy Cohen teased the new episodes’ “spectacular casting.”
Unfortunately, Kameron couldn’t say much about her alleged new co-stars.
“What are the new housewives like?” someone asked.
“Hmm you will need to stay tuned…,” she teased.
Kameron also stayed mum about production being in hiatus.
“What is the best thing about being a housewife? The worst?” another fan posted.
“Best part of being a [housewife]… is being able to bring a spotlight to charitable organizations that would never get this public attention… and worst part is dealing with mean internet trolls,” Kameron replied.
“What do you know now that you wish you knew before starting on RHOD?” someone else asked.
“That it is ALOT MOREEE work than I ever imagined!!” Kameron admitted.
When another person asked Kameron how she was initially discovered for RHOD, she revealed that it was Cary who gave her name to producers.
“Thanks to Cary [Deuber] my name was put on the call list!” she revealed.
In another Instagram Story, Kameron responded to a fan who asked, “Is it weird to have cameras in your house all the time?”
“I don’t have cameras in my house all the time!” Kameron clarified. “It’s all scheduled and after they remove the equipment each day!! I would die if that’s how it worked hahah!! Also nobody can come on camera without a signed contract and filming is not allowed without location contracts. It’s a lot that goes into filming that I didn’t know either until I joined the show.”
The Real Housewives of Dallas season five will likely air on Bravo sometime next year.
