VIDEO: Clip of RHOP Stars Monique and Candiace's Fight Leaks Online Before the Altercation Airs on Season Five

Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard‘s physical altercation will not be seen until later this season on the recently-premiered fifth season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, but last night on Instagram, fans got a major sneak peek at what went down between them.

Ahead of the on-screen drama, which was filmed in October of last year, a behind-the-scenes video of Monique and Candiace’s fight was shared on Instagram.

“Behind the scenes of THAT fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard,” the Real Housewives Franchise captioned their clip on August 2.

In the video, the ladies were seen being pulled apart by a number of people as one of them appeared to hit the other repeatedly.

In the weeks that followed Monique and Candiace’s fight, Candiace filed a criminal complaint against Monique before Monique filed her own complaint against Candiace.

The ladies also released statements through their attorneys. Monique’s attorney, A. Scott Bolden, claimed Candiace’s allegations against Monique were “completely one-sided, inaccurate and unwarranted.” Candiace’s lawyer, James L. Walker, Jr., suggested she was “viciously” attacked by her RHOP co-star.

“The physical assault, humiliation and emotional distress have all been very painful and difficult for Candiace, as it would be for anyone attacked so viciously… We also pray that Monique will get some help,” James explained to PEOPLE.

Just over a month after Monique and Candiace filed second-degree assault charges against one another, the Office of the State’s Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland confirmed that their charges had been dropped.

Ahead of Sunday’s RHOP premiere, Monique admitted to ESSENCE that she had no intention of pursuing any charges against Candiace.

“I had no intention of trying to see her in jail or even trying to get any money up out of her. I just wanted to move forward. She had other intentions and it dragged out to the point where every outlet is covering it without all the information,” she explained.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season five airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
