Lala Kent and Randall Emmett opened up about her pregnancy during the latest episode of their podcast with Lala sharing exactly how she discovered she was pregnant.
After confirming she was at Camp Highlander in North Carolina when she found out she was expecting her first child, the Vanderpump Rules cast member dished on how she shared the news with Randall, confirmed her due date with listeners, and revealed whether she wants a boy or a girl.
“Randall, my mom, and London went off to do their thing at camp. They went to do archery. Rylee, my little soul sister, was like, ‘I’m trying to take a bath.’ She’s in the bath and I’m bored so I’m like, ‘I’m going to take that [pregnancy] test,’” Lala recalled on Give Them Lala… With Randall. “So it pops up, ‘Pregnant,’ and I look up at Rylee and I was like, ‘Do you know what this means? This means Lala is going to have a baby.’ She stands up, screams, ‘You’re going to have a baby! We gotta tell my dad right now!’”
Rylee was so thrilled with the news that she waited for four hours on the front porch for her dad. Then, when he arrived, she and Lala presented him with her pregnancy test in a popcorn box.
“He sobbed his eyes out, bawling. He was beside himself, hugging me, being like, ‘Is it really happening?’” Lala revealed.
“I was very emotional,” Randall admitted. “I was so happy. That day was so beautiful and so magical. The way that [Lala] surprised me with Rylee, it was flawless. It was everything it was supposed to be and God was definitely shining down that day.”
According to Lala, she’s about 10 weeks pregnant and hoping, and praying she delivers a healthy child in April of next year, which is just three months after Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are expected to welcome their first child, a baby girl.
“We only tried for [one month]. I feel very grateful that it did not take me very long to get pregnant. I have friends that have been trying to get pregnant for years,” Lala explained.
As for the gender of their child, Lala and Randall will find out what they’re having in two weeks.
“We’re going to know and we’ve already planned how to do the gender reveal,” Randall said, as Lala confirmed she will share the reveal on Instagram.
“I don’t know how these people are like, ‘I’m not going to find out until it’s born.’ I would lose my mind. I have to find out,” Lala added. “I would like a boy. I’ve always pictured myself having a boy first. I feel like I have two girls already. I get to do the girly thing. We need more male energy in the house. I need a boy. I need some trucks [and] a football.”
