Kelly Dodd‘s family is facing major backlash after her brother, Eric Meza, shared a video on his Instagram Stories of their mother, Bobbi Meza, dining at a Mastros Restaurant just days after being discharged from the hospital following a battle with COVID-19.
Less than one week after Eric confirmed that Bobbi was in the ICU amid a battle with the deadly and highly contagious virus, Eric told his followers that his mother had enjoyed a steak on Thanksgiving day and after his shocking video was shared on a Real Housewives fan page, fans wondered how they could be so reckless.
“She got her steak at Mastros,” the Real Housewives of Orange County star’s brother had shared, adding that the restaurant was “not too busy.”
Following the post, a number of the page’s fans and followers weighed in on the controversial outing.
“Apples don’t fall far from the tree,” one person said.
“I should be shocked but I’m not,” added another.
A third fan said Bobbi was being “reckless to say the least” as another person said Kelly should be booted from RHOC.
“The whole family is crazy.. In ICU on Wed and dining out on Thur.. and Kelly hates masks. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS FAMILY.. ??” someone else asked.
As RHOC fans may recall, Eric first confirmed Bobbi was in the ICU in an Instagram post on November 21, revealing that she was suffering from COVID-19 and needed prayers. Then, Kelly also confirmed the news and revealed that she was at a higher risk for serious complications as a diabetic.
Four days later, Eric returned to Instagram with good news.
“My Mother is discharged from the hospital. She beat COVID19,” Eric confirmed, noting that Bobbi was placed in the ICU, in part, because she had been given a steroid that was very dangerous for those with diabetes.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
