Braunwyn Windham-Burke Refuses to Say if She’s Still Intimate With Husband Sean, Admits Jealousy Between Sean and Girlfriend Kris, RHOC Star Clarifies Comment About Being "Heartbroken" If Sean Moves On

Braunwyn Windham-Burke clarifies what she meant when she revealed she’d be “heartbroken” if husband Sean Burke began dating someone else and shares his dating status. She also explains how she manages to balance her relationship with Sean and her romance with girlfriend Kris.

Earlier this month, fans and Braunwyn’s Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars ripped her to shreds after she said she’ll be “heartbroken” when Sean moves on, even though she has currently moved on herself. She was labeled a “narcissist” and a “hypocrite,” but now she’s attempting to explain what she really meant by that statement.

“Dating someone and falling in love and starting a new life are two very different things. If Sean dated someone, that’s great. I support that. I think he should be,” the reality star told Us Weekly in a new interview.

Although she claims she wants him to date, she obviously isn’t looking forward to Sean finding someone who he truly cares about. Braunwyn discusses the amount of time they’ve spent together and what a great friend her husband is, and she explains that the thought of losing that aspect of their relationship is what scares her the most.

“If Sean fell in love and started a new life, started a new family, yes that would be heartbreaking,” she explained. “We’ve been together 26 years. We’ve been together since we were children. And I think that people kind of forget that it’s not just that we’re married, we’ve been together since we were kids. We are family. We are each other’s people. We are closer to each other than anyone else. Would that hurt? I’m not talking about losing the marriage, I’m talking about losing my best friend, my person that’s been with me since I was 18. So yes, I would be heartbroken.”

The mother-of-seven says that Sean has been on several dates since she came out as a lesbian, but it’s been “nothing serious” so far. She was also asked whether or not she and Sean are still romantically intimate from time to time, but that’s something she didn’t want to address.

Braunwyn admits that both Sean and Kris “absolutely” get jealous of each other at times, and she expresses that balancing her complicated situation can be challenging.

“I’m leaving tonight. I’m gonna go spend the night with Kris and that’s hard for Sean,” she also revealed to Us Weekly. “He supports me, but, yeah — that is definitely hard. Kris knows that I’m with my kids a lot, you know, and that’s hard for her because she wants to be with me. It’s a new relationship, you know, but she also knows I have seven kids. I have a husband. She knew what she was getting into. There’s never been any lying or anything and so she understands that too.”

She says that no matter which partner she’s with, she does her best to give them her undivided attention.

“I think, for me, the most important thing is when I’m with Sean, I’m with Sean. When I’m with Kris, I’m with Kris [and I] give them a hundred percent of me when I’m with them.”

The RHOC star has relentlessly been called selfish by her castmates and fans alike, but she asserts that she’s not at all selfish, especially right now. She claims that she’s too busy trying to balance her significant others’ feelings and keep those relationships as private as possible, despite the fact that she has taken to Instagram Live on multiple occasions to answer questions from fans about said relationships.
