In a video shared to her Instagram Stories, the Real Housewives of Potomac cast member confirmed their baby boy’s arrival as she laid with the child in her hospital bed and expressed disappointment that she wasn’t able to have her entire family with her at once.
“Hello, my darlings. Thank you all so much for the kind and warm wishes that you sent to us. This is our sweet baby born today,” Ashley began in a series of videos shared on her page.
“He is absolutely incredible and amazing and we’re over the moon excited,” she continued.
The RHOP star then explained that her husband had to leave the hospital, likely due to COVID-19 restrictions, to care for their oldest child.
“Michael just left the hospital to go be with Dean and give him some loving and it’s crazy how much I miss my son right now,” Ashley admitted.
“Even though I’m so happy and so blissful with this guy. I just want us all to be together as a family and I know it will happen soon. I just miss them so much,” Ashley added.
While Ashley didn’t share her second child’s name, nor did she reveal any details about his size, she gave her fans and followers a look at the back of his head, which was full of dark hair.
“Thank you again,” Ashley concluded. “I love you all. I cherish you all so much and this journey of motherhood just keeps getting better.”
Ashley first confirmed her pregnancy in September 2020 with an Instagram video that featured one-year-old Dean wearing a T-shirt that read, “I’m Gonna Be a Big Brother.” In the caption, Ashley told her online audience that she and Michael were elated to share their baby news.
“To say we are thankful is an absolute understatement,” she wrote.
Just before revealing her pregnancy, Ashley spoke to Bossip about how Michael had been as a dad to young Dean.
“Michael is an incredibly hands-on father. He’s there for every waking moment with the baby,” she shared. “I didn’t really understand what it would look like for a father to be involved with his child. I’m learning and I’m experiencing it too.”
