The season nine Shahs of Sunset trailer has officially dropped, and it seems the old gang is back together!
After suffering a huge falling out during season eight, Reza Farahan and Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid have seemingly worked out their issues judging by the new preview. However, that doesn’t mean it will be a drama-free season as there will be new feuds and plenty of tears shed.
“The world around us is falling apart,” Mike Shouhed says at the beginning of the clip, seemingly referring to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Why the f*ck you wanna hold a grudge?”
Reza responds while wearing a cowboy hat, “Yee-haw, motherf*cker! Yee-haw!”
The season will also document how both MJ and Golnesa ‘GG’ Gharachedaghi are handling motherhood.
“I can’t believe we are parents,” MJ says just before her son Shams, 2, faceplants on a dirt road.
Though Reza and MJ have seemingly reconciled, it appears it was only after their co-stars encouraged them to do so as GG is heard telling MJ that her friend of more than 30 years needs some “lifting up.”
The clip then cuts to a tearful Reza hugging MJ and thanking her for her support, stating, “Thank you because I needed it more than you know.”
However, it’s clear that they have plenty of work ahead of them if they hope to get their friendship back to where it once was, especially since MJ’s husband, Tommy Feight, hasn’t even allowed Reza — who he calls a “malignant tumor of a human” — to meet their child.
Meanwhile, Mike and his girlfriend, Paulina Ben-Cohen, are having major issues of their own, and Mike’s co-stars are seemingly placing the blame on him.
“Fix your sh*t,” GG yells at Mike. “[Because] there’s two kids and another human involved.”
Nevertheless, Mike thinks one of his “snake” co-stars is trying to cause problems in his relationship with Paulina.
“There’s a snake in this group trying to ruin my relationship,” he initially claims before later confronting Destiney Rose, stating, “You’re always trying to bring up b*llsh*t that’s trying to affect my relationship.”
But Destiney is not having any of it as she screams, “You f*cked up your own relationship, son,” before she seemingly puts her hands on Mike while her co-stars attempt to restrain her.
