Kim Zolciak‘s family’s reality show, Don’t Be Tardy, has just been canceled after eight seasons on Bravo.

Just hours after Kim reacted to the idea of returning to the show where she first found fame, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and weighed in on a potential role on a future season of Real Housewives: All-Stars, sources explained why the network was not interested in renewing Don’t Be Tardy.

On May 7, production sources told TMZ that the series will not be brought back for a ninth season, noting that Bravo decided not to move forward with new episodes because they felt the show had run its course.

Don’t Be Tardy premiered in 2012 as a wedding special featuring Kim and her husband, Kroy Biermann. It continued for eight seasons with their kids, including Kim’s oldest daughters, Brielle Biermann and Ariana Biermann, and their four younger children, Kroy Jagger, Kash Kade, Kaia Rose, and Kane Ren.

One day before the news of Don’t Be Tardy‘s cancellation, Kim spoke to Hollywood Life on an episode of TVTalk on Instagram and admitted that she would consider going back to RHOA if she knew it would be like it was during season one.

“I miss season one where we didn’t know what it was going to be… If I could go back to season one? All day long. We had a blast. But other than that, no,” she said, noting that she also isn’t currently interested in appearing in a part-time or cameo role.

“I love [Porsha Williams]. Porsha all day long. But the rest? It’s like a snooze fest to me, no,” she explained.

While Kim isn’t open to a return to RHOA at the moment, she would like to film a future season of All-Stars if the Peacock series is renewed.

“They actually stayed at the same house that Kroy and I renewed our vows at in Turks and Caicos in 2017. I would not be opposed to that,” Kim admitted

As for her potential spinoff with Nene Leakes, Kim was actually supposed to star alongside her former castmate in a travel-themed series called Road to Riches. However, after opting to appear on Dancing With the Stars instead, the show was canceled in 2015.

Now, six years later, Kim is never saying never when it comes to potentially relaunching the idea for a spinoff with Nene.

“We talk and there’s no animosity whatsoever. NeNe is hilarious. She’s a very sensitive person, but she’s very funny. Never say never,” Kim noted.

Then, in a somewhat cryptic statement, Kim told Hollywood Life that she already had the best job with Don’t Be Tardy.

“I really enjoy being paid to film with my family. Is there a better job in the world? I don’t think so,” she said.
