Whitney Rose is looking back on Jen Shah‘s shocking arrest.
A week after the highly-anticipated premiere of the second season of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Whitney revealed what Jen told her amid her arrest before expressing her shock and admitting that when it comes to the charges Jen is currently facing, she’s still trying to process the seriousness of it all.
“She told us her husband was in the hospital with internal bleeding so I was concerned for her husband,” Whitney admitted on KTLA 5 Morning News on September 17 after being asked what she was thinking as Jen suddenly left the bus as they prepared to embark on a group trip.
“That was one of the most shocking things I’ve ever experienced in my life. I get the chills just rewatching it every time we see it,” Whitney continued of the dramatic moment. “We had no idea. That came out of nowhere. It was so shocking it was unbelievable. I kept thinking, ‘Am I in a dream? Is this a setup? Is this a prank? What is going on?’”
Because she’s never had a relationship with anyone who has been indicted or arrested for anything beyond a misdemeanor, Whitney said she’s still a bit in shock over what went down during season two.
“It’s still shocking to me and we’re still, my mind is still racing. I’m still processing what this means,” she shared.
Although some suspected Jen would either quit filming, or be fired, amid season two, Whitney confirmed Jen continued on, which forced her and the rest of the cast to decide how they would interact with their legally troubled co-star.
“We were forced to decide how we wanted to show up with her, if we were going to film with her, if we were still her friend, what does this mean, and you’ll see that all of us go through so many emotions and we change our minds millions of times, as expected, it’s a rollercoaster,” Whitney teased.
As for whether or not she and Jen are still friends, Whitney told the host, “I… am, yes,” before adding, or perhaps clarifying, “I am her colleague.”
