Tamra Judge revealed on a recent episode of her podcast, Two T’s in a Pod, which she hosts alongside Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp, that she exchanged a series of text messages with Heather Dubrow after she and Teddi suggested she was “self-producing” on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Following the airing of the February 18 episode, during which Tamra said Heather’s acting background may be making it hard for her “to not self-produce,” and the February 11 episode, where Tamra admitted she would be “a little bit hesitant” to discuss her children’s sexuality, as Heather did with daughters, Max, 18, and Kat, 15, Tamra confirmed she “sent Heather a text message.”
Although Tamra didn’t initially hear back from Heather, she eventually did. And while discussing the matter on her podcast, she shared what her former RHOC co-star said.
“I got a text message [from Heather] this morning and it said ‘Thanks sorry I’ve been traveling from Aspen’ and I said, ‘Oh I thought you were mad at me.’ And she wrote back, ‘Well you and Teddi aren’t doing me any favors,’” Tamra revealed, according to a report from Heavy. “And I said, ‘What, what? What are you talking about?’ She is not happy.”
According to Tamra, she insisted to Heather that she always stands up for her.
“She goes, ‘I know I’m sorry, I’m just really tired.’ She goes, ‘It was about Kat,’ and you saying — Teddi — that she’s self-produced,” Tamra continued as Teddi confirmed she “never said Kat was self-produced.”
While Tamra did her best to defend herself to Heather, Teddi said on the show that she stands by her assessment of Heather’s behavior on RHOC.
“Do I still stand by it that I think that? One million percent,” she stated. “I think that she – I’m not saying she’s using her family or any of the types of things as storylines — but what I’m saying is that you can tell while things are happening in real time, she’s hoping she can self-produce it to make sure that it all goes the way that she wants.”
On Two T’s in a Pod last month, Tamra seemed to speak critically of Heather’s decision to allow her kids to take center stage on RHOC.
“I would be a little bit hesitant about talking about my minor child’s sexuality and that’s just me. Like I’m super protective of things like that, I don’t know, one daughter came out as bisexual and another daughter has come out as lesbian and I don’t know. I just don’t know that I would make that my storyline,” she explained.
Earlier this week, while appearing on the Behind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef podcast, Heather said claims of her self-producing were “preposterous” and noted that she doesn’t “have time to self-produce.”
“I think it was bullsh-t. And actually, Tamra and I texted about it the other day. Because I was like, ‘What, really? What are you talking about?’” Heather recalled. “I would never use my children as a storyline. Ever. My kids have their own stories to tell.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
