Pump Rules' Tom Schwartz Says He's "Healthy" After Katie Split and Denies Sandoval is Responsible as Insider Claims They're in No Rush to File for Divorce

Tom Schwartz opened up about his split from Katie Maloney after visiting a home improvement store in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

While wearing a “Very Much Alive” hoodie, Schwartz, 39, said he was doing “okay” and addressed claims of Tom Sandoval, 38, being involved in his breakup from Katie, 35, as an insider revealed their thoughts on divorce and discussed their plans for the potential 10th season of Vanderpump Rules.

“I’m okay,” Schwartz confirmed, via a report shared by E! News. “I’m getting parts for the bar right now. We’re busy with the bar, trying to get open asap… Lots of good things in motion.”

During the ninth season of Pump Rules, Schwartz and Sandoval unveiled their plans to open a new bar in Los Angeles after finding success at TomTom (with the help of Lisa Vanderpump, 61). And in the months since, the Toms have been putting the final touches on the venue.

Continuing on about his post-split state, Schwartz insisted he’s “okay” but noted that he’s understandably “sad” about the end of his and Katie’s 12-year relationship.

“Of course I’m sad, but, you know, we still love each other very much. And it’s healthy,” he noted. “I’m doing okay. I’m staying busy.”

Then, when the cameraman mentioned the idea of Sandoval being involved in the end of his marriage, Schwartz denied that was the case.

“No, no. That’s all on me. I wish I had a scapegoat, but that’s all on me,” he admitted. “It’s complicated, obviously. But nothing in particular. You know, life, you know. It’s complicated.”

While fans are anticipating a new season of Pump Rules, Schwartz confirmed he has not yet gotten word about the series’ return but noted that he’s “always optimistic.”

According to an insider, who spoke to Us Weekly on March 16, Schwartz’s split from Maloney was amicable. And when it comes to their plans to officially end their marriage, they aren’t rushing to make moves legally.

“They’re not in a rush to file for divorce. They’re still living together, neither has moved out yet,” the source shared.

“It’s not easy for them to just completely separate after being together for so long,” a second insider noted. “They share the same friend group and will still be part of each other’s lives in some way or another. They’re both going to continue to support each other and the businesses they’re pursuing.”

As for season 10, the source said “no decisions have been made” before noting that both Schwartz and Katie will “most likely … both still be part of the show” if it’s renewed.

Although Schwartz and Katie made their breakup official earlier this week on Instagram, Schwartz has yet to remove his wedding band as Katie continues to be spotted without hers.

Vanderpump Rules season 10 has not yet been announced by Bravo.
