Katie Maloney hosted an “Ask Me Anything” session with her fans and followers on Sunday, just days after confirming her split from husband Tom Schwartz.
Following an outing with Tom in Los Angeles on Saturday, amid which Katie told her fans and followers things were “all good” between them, the Vanderpump Rules cast member revealed what prompted her to call it quits with Tom before opening up about her sandwich shop, revealing how she’s doing post-split, and sharing her future plans.
“What helped you get to your decision? I admire you for your strength [and] vulnerability,” a fan wrote on March 20.
“Trusting myself,” Katie responded.
Another person on Katie’s Instagram Story wanted to know if she was still planning on opening a sandwich shop with her Pump Rules co-star, Ariana Madix.
“Are you still interested in opening [Something About Her] with Ariana?” they wondered.
“1,000%,” Katie confirmed, as Ariana also reshared the post.
Someone else wanted to know how Katie has been doing.
“How are you doing?” the person asked.
“I’m actually doing really good,” Katie replied. “Feeling really loved and supported. I feel very hopeful.”
Also amid her “Ask Me Anything,” Katie responded to one of her fans, who wanted to know what the future would hold.
“What are your goals for this new chapter of your life?” they asked.
“I’m on a pursuit of happiness… I want to feed my soul… And of course I want to prioritize my career goals,” Katie revealed.
Last Tuesday, after being spotted without her wedding ring for several weeks, Katie took to her Instagram page, where she confirmed her decision to end her marriage to Tom.
“I never thought I would have to make an announcement like this. But I feel it’s important that I’m open about my life with you,” Katie wrote on March 15. “After 12 years on an adventure through life together Tom and I are ending our marriage. This ending is not met with resentment or animosity, no sides to choose. We have deep admiration for one another that will always remain and we cherish our friendship. Although we may be on different paths we will continue to love and support one another’s happiness. Thank you all for the kind words and support.”
Days later, while out at a hardware store in Los Angeles, Tom said that while he’s “sad,” he and Katie are remaining on good terms.
“We still love each other very much. And it’s healthy,” he noted. “I’m doing okay. I’m staying busy… I’m getting parts for the bar right now. We’re busy with the bar, trying to get open asap… Lots of good things in motion.”
