Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker said “I do” in Las Vegas just hours after he performed at the Grammys.
In the wee hours of the morning on Monday, April 4, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 42, and her Blink-182 drummer beau, 46, wandered into a wedding chapel in Sin City, where an Elvis impersonator helped them make their marriage official.
According to an April 5 report from TMZ, Kourtney and Travis got married at the One Love Wedding Chapel around 1:30 a.m. on Monday. However, while photos are typically provided by the venue, the chapel was said to have been restricted from taking pics of the famous pair as they instead brought their own photographer and security.
Although it has not yet been made clear whether Kourtney and Travis had been planning to get married on April 4 in Las Vegas all along or if they made a spur-of-the-moment decision, they did have a marriage license in hand when they arrived at the venue, which they presented to the chapel’s owner.
As TMZ revealed, the owner also served as a witness for the couple as they brought in an Elvis impersonator to officiate the wedding.
While Kourtney and Travis are now legally married, insiders told the outlet that they are planning to host “several” additional celebrations in the near future.
As KUWTK fans will recall, Travis proposed to Kourtney in October at the Rosewood Miramar Beach in Santa Barbara, California, which has long been one of their favorite hotels to visit.
This marriage is the first for Kourtney, who shares three children with Scott Disick, 38, (Mason, 12, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 7), and the third for Travis, who was married for nine months to Melissa Kennedy in the early 2000s and for nearly two years to Shanna Moakler, 47, the mother of his two kids, Landon, 18, and Alabama, 16.
Following the news of Kourtney and Travis’ engagement, an insider revealed the couple was trying to conceive their first child.
“Right when they got serious, Kourtney and Travis decided to put effort into getting pregnant… It was a no-brainer for both of them because they’ve set their hearts on a big family and agreed there was no point in delaying or waiting to be married first,” the source shared with Us Weekly.
Months later, as a preview for Kourtney’s family’s new Hulu series, The Kardashians, was shared, it was confirmed that while Kourtney had begun taking in vitro fertilization (IVF) medication, the unnamed drug she was prescribed put her into menopause.
“Their close friends and family are all aware it’s in the works and that it’s just a matter of time before she confirms the news they’re expecting,” the source continued. “Both of them are certain it’s the right path. Kourtney just melts seeing how great Travis is with his own kids, and he has been a model gentleman with her and Scott [Disick’s children] too. They just adore him. It’s going to be a beautiful journey that ends with them blending their families as one and they cannot wait.”
