Teddi Mellencamp was forced to defend her husband, Edwin Arroyave, amid Wednesday night’s premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after it was falsely claimed that he had installed a potentially faulty security system at Dorit Kemsley‘s home before she was robbed at gunpoint in October 2021.
In a post shared on Twitter, which came as Teddi also defended her visit to Dorit’s home post-break-in, Teddi said that Edwin was not the person who installed Dorit’s alarm.
“To be clear, Edwin did not do Dorit’s alarm or security system. So Twitter can take a breath,” Teddi tweeted on May 11.
Meanwhile, on Instagram, Teddi was forced to defend herself against a Bravo fan page who suggested she was devastated that she wasn’t seen consoling Dorit on RHOBH.
“Lol. I love a good conspiracy theory. I went over prior to any cameras being there as her actual friend. Not to be shown on a television show. But go off I guess,” Teddi wrote in the comments section of the post, which included a clip of her crying at a cast dinner years ago.
Teddi then shared an additional message on her Instagram Story, which read, “At least if y’all are going to try to come for me… Be accurate with the facts. I went solely to support a friend. No cameras were there and it wasn’t about a TV show. Those of us who were there in those heartbreaking after hours truly care and love [Dorit Kemsley] and her family.”
Although Dorit didn’t call anyone out for consoling her as the cameras rolled, she certainly suggested that not everyone’s support was genuine.
Also on Instagram, Teddi showed off the results of a neck lift surgery she had days prior.
“Day 4 post-op and what better way for someone who’s always doing the most to jump back into work than an interview with [Extra TV]. Make sure to watch— and if you have any questions for me of your own, ask below!” Teddi wrote in the caption of a new photo of herself. “I’ll try to answer as many as I can throughout the day. Ps. Thank you [Dr. Sarmela Sunder] – not only are you an incredible surgeon but you made me laugh, feel safe and I trusted you [100 percent] which was a huge factor for me.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
