Talk about friendly exes! Earlier this week, over two months after confirming their plans to divorce, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz were spotted together at a Los Angeles bar.
In a photo shared on social media, the Vanderpump Rules exes, who are preparing to sell their $1.9 million Valley Village mansion, were seen posing with a group of fans as Tom sported merchandise from his own bar, TomTom.
“Can’t believe we met Katie and Tom from Vanderpump! They are our favorite! Such sweet people! Thank you so much for the picture, see y’all at Tom Tom!” a woman wrote in the caption of an Instagram photo shared on May 26.
In other Pump Rules news, Katie appeared on a podcast earlier this week, where she offered an update on her and Tom’s living arguments.
“We’re in the process of literally in the next two weeks moving, which is crazy because there’s so much to do still,” she said of herself and Tom on the May 25 episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, via Heavy. “So yeah, we’re selling our house and then I’m going to move into an apartment. Downsizing. Which is great because I don’t want to have to make like any big commitments, like buy a new house.”
According to Katie, she wanted to move into a small place she could call her own before deciding where she would like to be long-term.
“Do I want to go to the beach, do I want to go to the east side?” she wondered. “I’m so okay with like taking that time to figure out what’s the vibe for Katie long-term. And just kind of reclaiming my identity and who I am. Because regardless of how independent and how individual you are, when you’ve been with someone for so long, you do lose that a little bit. So doing out the things I really like, I really enjoy, what I don’t like, but more focus on the positive and what I like and what I want and what I like to do, and just saying yes and being happy.”
During another podcast appearance this month, Katie said she decided to split from Tom after feeling that he was unwilling to change certain behavior.
“You sit around and wait for someone to start behaving differently or act right. And then it’s just like, why am I sitting, hoping and waiting for something like that?” Katie shared on Dear Media’s Relationsh-t with Kamie Crawford. “It started to feel very disrespectful to myself. Like, these kinds of behaviors are hurtful to me, and nothing’s changed.”
“When my behavior was destructive and hurtful to the relationship, I got my s–t together because God forbid I destroy this relationship that is so important to me,” she added.
Vanderpump Rules was renewed for a 10th season by Bravo earlier this month.
