Lala Kent isn’t ready to jump into a new relationship — even nine months after her messy split from alleged cheater Randall Emmett.
As she focuses on her 16-month-old daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, and considers expanding her family without a man, the Vanderpump Rules star is admitting that when it comes to dating, she’s feeling “a little gun-shy” and “very guarded.”
“I’m a little gun-shy right now,” Lala revealed to Us Weekly, adding that she has “no desire” to be in a relationship.
“I do feel very guarded. I think if someone, like, the perfect man could step into my atmosphere and I would still be like, ‘The timing is just not right,’” she continued. “Timing is everything and I don’t think it’s the right time for a guy to come into my life and need to put any energy. Any extra energy is going straight to my kid.”
According to Lala, she wants to focus on building her Give Them Lala brand and providing for her daughter, who she described as a “genius.”
“I have a lot to focus on. Ocean’s gonna wanna go to college one day. I have to make sure I can provide that for her,” she shared.
That said, she did recently offer to buy sperm in hopes of welcoming a second child in the future.
“My gusband brought over this man the other day and I’m not ashamed to say — I asked him if I could buy his sperm in the future,” she admitted. “He was gorgeous. I was like, ‘What I need from you — just the sperm. I don’t want a baby daddy, you’ll sign some papers. I need you to vamoose, I need you to go away right after.’ And he was like, ‘I’ll just give it to you for free.’ I was like, ‘Even better!’ … We’ll get the lawyers on the phone before anything happens.”
“I would love more kids. Don’t want more baby daddies, but I do want more kids,” she clarified. “Right now, that for me is the only option that I would consider.”
Although Lala may not be emotionally ready to get back to dating after her October 2021 split from Randall, she recently underwent some plastic surgery in hopes of restoring her confidence.
“I love my new boobs and I love my new ear. I’m feeling it’s gonna be hot girl summer,” Lala shared, also with Us Weekly. “I got my left ear pinned back… Since I was a little kid [I wanted to fix my left ear]. There were so many insecurities that I’ve had throughout my lifetime that I’ve gotten over and [I] just accepted the ear was not one of them. And I was like, ‘If I can fix it, I’m going to.’”
Also during the interview, Lala addressed a recent photo she shared of herself with bangs.
“I’m still wondering if I have bangs or not,” Lala stated. “Literally, everyone told me, ‘Do not cut [your] bangs. You’re going to regret it.’ So, I literally just turned my broken hairs into bangs, just to dip the toe in the pond.”
“I actually really liked them. I felt very vulnerable with my bangs,” she added.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
