Does Kyle Richards regret bringing her sister Kathy Hilton to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
Following an ugly falling out amid the 12th season of the Bravo reality show, which occurred on the heels of Lisa Rinna‘s recounting of Kathy’s meltdown in Aspen, Kyle was questioned about her potential regrets and the drama-filled reunion. Plus, Kathy was spotted discussing their relationship while out in Los Angeles over the weekend.
“It was my idea to bring my sister Kathy on the show,” Kyle admitted during an interview with TooFab on October 10.
People asked Kyle, “Do you think that’s a good idea?” They also said, “You’ve been fighting. Are you sure?” But Kyle really felt it would be a good thing.
“We were getting along and in a good place and I just wanted to have fun and be able to hang out with her and bond with her. She’s funny and makes me laugh,” Kyle explained.
But now, over a year after Kathy was added to RHOBH season 11 in a friend role, Kyle admitted to being disappointed with how she and Kathy ended up.
“Obviously it was disappointing that this happened, and then it became bigger and bigger and bigger and that’s why I was trying to say in the finale, like, ‘You don’t realize the repercussions for me and how that affects me and my family,'” she shared. “That’s why it’s so emotional for me.”
Following a dramatic season, during which Lisa accused Kathy of lashing out at Kyle amid her meltdown and threatening to destroy her family, Kyle and Kathy came face-to-face at the reunion, where Kyle was quite emotional about their feud (although Kathy can’t understand why).
“I was a mess,” Kyle revealed of the reunion taping. “Andy Cohen was like, you know it’s really bad when he’s really feeling bad for you. He told me that yesterday. I saw him… It was really bad. It was a very difficult day. We got there at 6 in the morning. I left at 11:30 at night.”
As Kyle promoted the season, Kathy attended the Carousel of Hope Ball with husband Rick Hilton on Saturday night at the Beverly Hilton, where she confirmed to a fan at the event that everything was okay with Kyle.
“Yeah that’s my sister, I love her,” Kathy stated, as seen in a clip shared by TMZ.
