Luis Ruelasex-wife, Marisa DiMartino, spent the past weekend in Atlantic City celebrating their son Louis’ birthday with his new wife, Teresa Giudice. And during a new interview, she’s revealing how it went.

After admitting that she was initially hesitant to get to know the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, Marisa, who had just a couple of brief encounters with Teresa before her and Luis’ wedding in August, confirmed she had a great time with Teresa as they played Top Golf, ate a steak dinner, attended Sebastian Maniscalco’s comedy show, and visited a nightclub.

“She’s very nice,” Marisa told Page Six on November 9. “[And she] couldn’t have been more accommodating and respectful … Everything was cordial.”

While Marisa and Luis, whose allegedly troubled relationship made headlines after he and Teresa began dating in 2020, did not talk much in A.C., she and Teresa had some friendly exchanges.

“[Teresa] told me that she loves [my kids] just like they were her own,” Marisa revealed. “My son, he really had nothing but good things to say about her as well.”

Marisa appreciated when Teresa suggested she “go and stand behind [her] son” as his cake was cut and said Jennifer Aydin, who was also present, was “very nice” and asked if she was comfortable being in the background of their social media videos.

As for where she stands with Luis, Marisa said that while the two of them weren’t in a great place post-split, things began to get better about a year and a half ago.

“When it comes to Luis and I, we just basically talk to each other when we have to co-parent,” Marisa revealed. “It’s not like we talk to each other every day or go to dinner every day. It’s just about the kids.”

When Luis first began appearing on RHONJ, Marisa didn’t like the idea of their kids appearing alongside him. But now, after feeling that Luis is “coming around to show a different side” of himself, she’s more comfortable with the idea.

Once they got married, I thought, ‘This woman is a part of my children’s lives.’ I can’t be totally out of the picture, you know, it’s not right for my children. I’m doing this only for my children,” she shared, adding that she has “no” interest in filming but would “possibly” appear if one of their family events were filmed.

“My whole thing is it’s all about the immediate family,” she explained. “My relationship is just with their immediate family, which is the kids. It’s been two years that I’ve tried to stay away from the public eye and, by doing so, it created less time for me and my other son [Louie].”

Since their 2013 divorce, Luis and Marisa have shared custody of their youngest son, Nicholas, who is autistic and lives with his mom while Louis lives with Luis, Teresa, and Teresa’s four daughters.

Speaking of Luis and Teresa’s relationship, Marisa said she believes they’re a “good match” because they have “the same ‘on-the-go’ energy,” have “very similar personalities,” and “both like the limelight.”

In her own interview with Page Six, Teresa said, “Marisa is an amazing mother and I have really enjoyed getting to know her and look forward to spending more time with her. She is very old school like me and I love that.”

She also said that while her own ex-husbandJoe Giudice, met Luis and welcomed him “with open arms,” she believes Marisa did the same with her.

“Fully blending our families together is very important to both Louie and I and that includes both Joe and Marisa,” Teresa said. “We are happy, our children are happy and our exes are happy and are both a healthy and positive part of our new life together, we are truly blessed.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in early 2023.
