Below Deck’s iconic chief stew, Kate Chastain, knows what works and what doesn’t work for the yachtie industry, and according to Kate, Below Deck Mediterranean’s chief stew, Natasha Webb, is someone who doesn’t work. Literally and figuratively.

“She’s just really, really awful at her job and in so many ways,” Kate said while appearing on Brandi Glanville’s Unfiltered podcast.

She’s so awful that Kate believes that she’s an “embarrassment” to the yacht industry, and she diminishes the elegance of working on a luxury yacht. Kate hilariously recalled an infamous moment during her tenure where she made a penis out of blankets and towels for a guest, but she says the way she did it was classy.

“First of all, I understand in my first season, I put a humongous d**k blanket on a bed. But that was elegant. When she brings out that dildo, it’s just tacky and so cringe,” Kate said.

Kate also accused Natasha of downgrading the lavish yachting experience to something like a wild college spring break party.

“It’s just disgusting. It’s like you were at a Daytona spring break bar,” Kate said. “It’s almost an embarrassment for the yachting industry, like, girl is giving cruise vibes. You know, obviously, she doesn’t drink as much as us, because anybody who actually drinks is, like, ‘Give me vodka. Give me champagne. Give me a tequila. A mixed drink, I’ll drink too. Espresso martini and a margarita. Maybe an Aperol spritz.’”

The former chief stew also had some opinions on second stews Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen.

Kate echoed many fans’ sentiments that Natalya took on almost all the workload while Kyle barely skirted along by becoming besties with Natasha and continuously coming down on Natalya.

“I really like [Natalya]. I think she’s right. She works hard. She’s funny, she gets it.”

As for Kyle, Kate believes he’s “too extra, too sassy.”

Kate’s comments come after Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s chief stew, Daisy Kelliher, and former Below Deck Med chief stew Hannah Ferrier shared similar opinions of Natasha.

“It’s hard to watch to be honest, and I feel sorry for her for sure,” Daisy previously said.

Hannah called Natasha “boring” and said she doesn’t make for “interesting television.”

Natasha struggled to balance her personal life with her work life constantly during this season as she navigated a complicated charter romance with chef Dave White. The relationship ultimately ended and contributed to the reasons why she was unable to adequately fulfill her duties as the chief stew.

Captain Sandy Yawn commented about this to Us Weekly in July, “I don’t look for it and I don’t care who hooks up as long as they can do their job and they respect each other. So, when it comes to interfering with someone’s personal boundaries, then yes I step in.”

Captain Sandy concluded her statement by saying that she has “high expectations” and she’s not afraid to get “dirty” and “step in” if she has to.

Fans will have to wait and see if Natasha can keep her head above water long enough to keep her role on the show ahead of season eight.
