Paris Hilton is reacting to her mom Kathy Hilton‘s recent statements regarding the fertility struggles she and husband Carter Reum have allegedly been enduring.
Days after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member said her heart was breaking over Paris’ supposedly unsuccessful efforts to get pregnant, Paris set the record straight, claiming that fertility has “never been a struggle” for her and Carter, who she married in November 2021.
“I don’t know where she got that,” Paris told TMZ while walking through LAX with Carter on November 16. “It’s never been a struggle at all. [And] we don’t talk about that.”
According to Paris, she and Carter are actually doing just fine in their IVF journey.
“I have tons of embryos that [have] all just been waiting. We’ve been stocking up on a lot of them,” she shared.
Paris went on to say that the first year of marriage has been the “best year of [her] life,” and she revealed that she and Carter celebrated with an “insane” one-year anniversary party.
Also during the interview, after being questioned about whether or not she’d consider adopting in the future, Paris said, “I’ll adopt a dog.”
While appearing on E! News on Monday, Kathy suggested that although Paris and Carter were “really happy” one year after their wedding, they’ve been unable thus far to conceive a child.
“It breaks my heart because I know she is trying and trying and I always say, ‘You just relax.’ So many people, they struggle and it doesn’t just happen like that,” Kathy stated.
As RHOBH fans may recall, Kathy was quite busy planning Paris’ November 2021 wedding when filming began on the recently-aired 12th season of the show. So when it came to the episodes, she was absent from many of them.
Now, with filming set to begin on season 13 in early 2023, her return is far from certain due to an ultimatum she dealt Bravo in regard to the ongoing roles of Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne.
“I had said that I would only be willing to come back if the cast, if it was completely the same, absolutely not, because I feel there are two bullies that intimidate a lot of the other girls,” she told TMZ in October, referring to Lisa and Erika. “A couple speak up, but most of them, they’re not being their authentic self when they’re pushed up to the wall, and they’re afraid of what those two bullies… because they’re capable of anything.”
