Melissa Gorga‘s former BFF, Jan Marie DeDolce, has spoken out against her in a series of leaked DMs.
After the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member took aim at her ex-friend on her podcast, accusing the woman of spreading horrible rumors about her to sister-in-law Teresa Giudice, who Jan says was ultimately blamed, Jan exposed Melissa’s alleged “dirty ploy” to join the show behind Teresa’s back, which Melissa has long denied.
“As some of you may or may not remember, I appeared on RHONJ as Melissa’s friend. Unfortunately, the truth was totally hidden from everyone while Teresa was blamed,” Jan wrote in the first of a series of DMs posted by All About the Real Housewives and originally shared by Love Love Love Gabriella on Instagram.
“After the season aired I could have sold Melissa out, yet I chose not to. Many media outlets offered me money for information, still remained silent and protected her,” Jan continued. “If my goal really was to get on the show as a [housewife], as she claimed in her recent podcast, I could have exposed her and her dirty ploy to have me write letters to Bravo so that they would cast her behind Teresa’s back, which, of course, I didn’t do.”
According to Jan, she had a chance to attend “several events” filmed for RHONJ but opted against doing so because she didn’t want to take part in the drama.
“We were truly like sisters. I was privy to many events and circumstances with which I could have revealed who she really is and let her true colors show, but I never did. I stayed silent,” Jan added.
As RHONJ fans may have heard, Melissa had discussed the woman on a recent episode of her podcast, Melissa Gorga On Display, with her co-star and guest, Margaret Josephs, suggesting Jan was out to nab a role on the show — and even went behind her back in an effort to do so.
“I had a friend who I actually filmed with who was in my wedding who tried to come on the show, too, which, in the same season, I brought her with me to a lunch because I was trying to get her on the show,” Melissa stated. “And then later on in that season, you see her have a sit-down with my sister-in-law to tell my sister-in-law horrible things about me, that I’m a cheater. Once again, all of these things: cheater, stripper, like, I don’t know what’s next, I rob banks, I hurt babies, like, at this point, who gives a sh-t?”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 premieres on Tuesday, February 7, on Bravo.
