Randall Emmett and Amybr Childers were said to be trying to hash out an out-of-court settlement ahead of a rescheduled court appearance on Thursday.
Weeks after the 34-year-old actress obtained a temporary restraining order against Randall, 51, the former fiancé of Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent, 32, the couple agreed to move their January 24 court hearing to January 26.
In court documents filed on January 24 and obtained by Page Six, Randall and Ambyr confirmed they were “working on a settlement.”
As fans may recall, a judge granted Ambyr a temporary restraining order against Randall on December 22 after she mentioned his “possible involvement in child exploitation and pedophilia” in a series of court documents and claimed he was the target of an FBI investigation.
According to Ambyr, she was contacted on December 6 “by a special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation asking [her] questions about [Emmett’s] suspected activities with child exploitation and pedophilia.” But according to Randall, there is no truth to her claims.
In a video shared to Instagram, he stated, “We spent today getting confirmation, because we knew there was no truth to any of this, that the FBI has never been investigating me and isn’t investigating me because there’s nothing to investigate. But unfortunately, in this culture, you can say whatever you want, and then it gets written about, and then that’s considered ‘truth’ in this cancel culture.”
“I’ve been a dad for a long time. I have custody of all of my children, and I have custody of all my children because I’m a good father and I’m a good person,” he continued. “At the end of that day, that is what’s the most important thing. At the end of my life, no matter what happens, I’m gonna look my three daughters in the face, and they’re gonna know their dad was a great father.”
Randall also released a statement to Page Six, saying, “I am not being investigated by the FBI nor anyone else, and the notion that I am is beyond absurd.”
Currently, Randall and Ambyr share 50/50 custody of daughters London, 12, and Rylee, 9, but Ambyr says she is fighting for “sole legal and physical custody” of the girls “for a variety of reasons.”
Although Lala hasn’t addressed the allegations against Randall directly, she’s made it clear that she is facing some extremely difficult circumstances.
“People are somewhat, somewhat seeing why I am fighting for my child … I’m doing what I can to prevent things from happening, to protect my offspring, my little cub, but it’s a lot,” Lala admitted on a recent episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala. “This weekend, I had moments of just… ‘I may break.’ And I gotta sit in a room and regroup and tell myself, ’This motherf-cker is not gonna break me, b-tch. I’ll be damned.’ The full story will come out, and I don’t even have to be the one to say it.”
“[But] to watch someone constantly trying to say that everyone around is lying, but he’s the keeper of the truth, everyone else is insane and lying, trying to take him down, it’s beyond comprehension,” she added.
Ambyr’s restraining order against Randall will remain in place until they return to court on Thursday.
