Tom Sandoval is starting a new business for his band, The Most Extras.
After launching the eight-person group amid the pandemic, the Vanderpump Rules star, 39, has officially filed to make the band an LLC. The band sparked tension between him and Tom Schwartz, 40, last year as they attempted to open the doors of Schwartz & Sandy’s.
The tension stemmed from accusations that Sandoval spent more time focusing on his band than their businesses.
This week, The U.S. Sun revealed Sandoval officially filed an LLC for The Most Extras on January 6 in the state of California, naming himself as the CEO and manager of the music group.
During last week’s premiere episode of Pump Rules season 10, Sandoval and Schwartz were seen discussing how they “invested millions of dollars” into Schwartz & Sandy’s as Schwartz, who was in the midst of a divorce from now-ex-wife Katie Maloney, admitted he was “drowning” in money problems and struggling to juggle the costs of the bar with his mortgage and rent.
“It’s nice to have you f-cking dialed. You’re the best partner ever… when we have your attention,” Schwartz told his co-star and business partner. “There was a moment there where I f-cking was incredibly frustrated with you. Like you were just not present. You were dialed into every other project.”
According to Schwartz, he felt that Sandoval was more focused on his band, which Schwartz said he “[loves],” than their restaurant.
“It was escapism at my cost,” Schwartz stated as Sandoval agreed.
“[Tom] became hyper-focused on this new band he started: Tom Sandoval and The Most Extras,” Schwartz further explained in a confessional. “There was like a three-month stretch maybe where he just disappeared. I could not get through to him. I think what really turned things around was when I sat him down and told him, ‘We’re going to run out of money.'”
While Sandoval and The Most Extras have only been touring since November 2021, the cover band doesn’t seem to be losing traction. And after performing shows in San Diego, New York City, Washington, D.C., St. Louis, and Nashville, they have four upcoming shows in California.
And that’s not all for Sandoval.
“We have other things in the works. Me, [Ken Todd] and [Lisa Vanderpump] might be doing another thing together. We’ll have to wait and see,” Sandoval told The U.S. Sun last November while noting he and Schwartz “work very well together.”
“We never get tired of each other,” he insisted.
And during his own interview with The U.S. Sun, Schwartz said he loves and appreciates Sandoval.
“I get a lot of admiration for his ambition and just how much he’s accomplished in the past few years,” Schwartz shared. “I know opening this new bar put us to the test, put our friendship to the test, and I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished.”
Vanderpump Rules season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
