Teddi Mellencamp believes her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate, Lisa Vanderpump, fabricated the storyline surrounding “Scandoval.”
Nearly two weeks after it was revealed that Tom Sandoval had allegedly engaged in a months-long affair with his Vanderpump Rules co-star, Raquel Leviss, a close friend of both him and his now-ex-girlfriend of nearly 10 years, Ariana Madix, Teddi appeared on Melissa Gorga‘s podcast, where she shared her suspicions.
“She probably paid Raquel [Leviss] to do this,” Teddi suspected on the March 9 episode of On Display, via Page Six.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Lisa appeared on last Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live to discuss Sandoval’s relationship with Raquel. And while the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s podcast episode was recorded prior to Lisa’s appearance, Teddi said Andy Cohen likely invited Lisa back to the Bravo Clubhouse after a long hiatus only due to the fact that “nobody’s cared until now.”
She then suspected that Lisa would likely defend Sandoval because she “always takes the men’s side.”
“She’s gonna say the same points that I’ve been saying, like, ‘Listen, [Sandoval and Madix] weren’t in a good place for a long time. His needs weren’t met. [Sandoval and Leviss] fell in love. They couldn’t help themselves,’” Teddi shared.
Then, after fellow guest Tamra Judge noted that Pump Rules is “skyrocketing right now” and pointed out that Lisa likely “wants the best for her cast,” Teddi said, “I think she wants the best for herself, as I would as well. You guys wouldn’t? You’d want your shows to tank?”
“[This] is exactly what [Lisa] wants,” Teddi added.
Teddi went on to say that she could “guarantee” Raquel will be “engaged and pregnant within a year.”
During her WWHL appearance last week, Lisa did take up for Sandoval — at least in part.
“It’s not like [Sandoval or Leviss] murdered anyone,” she stated as she signaled to the fact that there’s “so much infidelity in the world.”
“These are people that are living their life in a public forum, which is very difficult,” she continued. “It’s a show but they’re all hurting.”
And while Lisa doesn’t believe that Sandoval and Raquel should be let “off the hook,” she spoke out against the “vigilante justice” of certain fans.
“Condemn their actions, but don’t condemn the people, OK?” she advised. “All this aggression … it can have serious ramifications. I really mean that. I think everybody should be careful with that.”
Vanderpump Rules season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
