Howie Mandel Claps Back at Lala Kent Over Podcast Diss as Vanderpump Rules Star Responds & “[Schools]” Him After His Interview With Tom Sandoval

Lala Kent took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday night to “school” Howie Mandel on his response to her diss about the lighting of his podcast.

After Tom Sandoval appeared on Howie’s show, Howie Mandel Does Things, earlier this week, the Vanderpump Rules star targeted the comedian for his poor lighting, telling her social media fans on Tuesday night that her “biggest takeaway” from the interview was that the lighting was “really bad.” This prompted a reaction from Howie.

“Lala in her [Instagram] Story … she’s sitting in some hotel room in New York, in the dark, saying that the lighting was bad on my podcast. She’s in the dark! That was her criticism!” Howie said during an April 12 on Extra TV, via Us Weekly, also saying that it’s “funny” that people are so upset about him not doing his “homework.”

“It’s very funny because I’m watching some of the people talk about what I did, and they have some very funny takes on me,” he admitted of the backlash he’s received.

Howie also said he has “never felt this kind of vitriol,” adding that his “Twitter feed is a mess of hate,” which has made him feel as if he’s “on lockdown.”

As Howie attempts to avoid the ongoing hatred from fans who felt he sided with Sandoval amid his betrayal of former girlfriend, Ariana Madix, who caught him cheating with their mutual friend and Pump Rules castmate, Raquel Leviss, Lala has sent him a bit more.

“Howie Mandel responded to my Instagram Stories last night. He did an interview with Billy Bush, and his comeback to me was, ‘Lala’s talking about bad lighting on my show when she’s sitting there in the dark,'” Lala began in her April 13 video. “And although the irony of that is not lost on me, I do need to point out Howie, that yes, I was in the dark, in bed, because it was nighttime.”

“I was not filming a podcast. It was bedtime. It’s what ya do. It’s what ya do when it’s bedtime. You turn the lights off, and you get in the bed. It’s what ya do. It’s just what ya do at night,” she continued. “Most people do what I did last night.  Maybe not the seven Stories on top of it, but I did not see myself having to school Howie Mandel on how nighttime works.”

Lala also added, in a caption, “By the way, lighting was fantastic on Howie and his daughter. But they did S*ndoval dirty with his lighting.”
