Shannon Beador‘s ex-boyfriend John Janssen‘s son, Joe, has been arrested on charges of felony vandalism in Southern California.
Just over a week after the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member, 59, was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run after plowing into a Newport Beach home while intoxicated, one report has confirmed Joe’s arrest while another has seen PETA slamming Shannon for having her dog Archie in the car while she was intoxicated.
“If your dog or child is in a vehicle or even waiting for you at home, that’s an extra incentive never to drive drunk or buzzed, although looking out for strangers and for yourself should already be enough to convince you not to drink and drive,” PETA’s Senior Vice President Lisa Lange said in a September 22 statement to Radar Online. “PETA’s glad Shannon Beador and her dog are safe now, and we hope they get over the trauma swiftly.”
After an investigation into the incident was launched by the Newport Beach Police Department’s animal control unit, Sgt. Steve Oberon spoke to Page Six.
“We don’t have animal endangering laws like you would with children but we do have animal cruelty laws, so [the unit is] going to look into that a little bit further,” he shared.
As the investigation continues into Shannon’s treatment of Archie, who went missing but was returned a couple of years ago after an alleged dognapping, news of Joe’s legal run-in has been revealed.
On September 27, Page Six revealed Joe, 26, was arrested on Saturday evening for felony vandalism in Newport Beach, California, following a complaint on September 13.
As the outlet noted, the son of John, 57, was released on $20,000 bail hours after his arrest and is currently facing three years behind bars.

In addition to Joe’s arrest this past weekend, Page Six revealed he also had another run-in with the law earlier this month when he was pulled over for “drifting” black BMWs with friends.
